    thanks foxy I have replied.

legend hope you and connor both feel better today.

we went out to to the lumiere light festival in Durham last night. it was really spectacular but boy was it busy. there were thousands of people in Durham's tiny streets all trying to get to the Cathedral. it was worth it in the end.

not much money making yesterday and not sure how much will get done today as I have loads of washing to do and this afternoon we are going to a friend's housewarming party. better sort out a present and finish the card...

Okay, so I think everyone who said yes now has a partner.
Thank you to Legend and Bunbun who have replied to me this morning.
Just waiting on two to come back to me with their likes and dislikes.
To everyone else, you now have to choose 3 items that you think your partner will like and then pm me the 3 choices - this can be either item specific (ie Thorntons chocolates - milk only) an item from a catalogue Argos - catalogue number xxx/xxxx etc.
If you can let me have these by next weekend, shall we say Saturday evening? I will then pm your partner to give them these choices and they ask their OH, kids parents or whoever to look at the 3 choices, choose 1, buy it (after you have given them the £10) wrap it and then it really is a secret!
Any questions please ask - I am happy to help although will be awol for the next day or so so don't worry if you don't hear back from me straight away!

No money making for me today, got such a busy week with a course and work etc, can't see me doing much at all money making really!
Am going to get my Christmas cards written tonight though whilst watching X factor and Celebrity, so at least that will be one less thing to do!

:T:T:T Huge thanks to Foxy for organising the secret santa, even though she's extremely busy at the moment. Thanks so much. :T:T:T

I've sorted my gifts. I just hope the person likes them now. :) I'm terrible - everything I wanted to choose was over the £10 budget. (like £20 over :rotfl:)

I'm sorry Mum2one - we nicked/borrowed your idea. Well they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. ;) It works a treat, so thanks again. Good luck with your sales today. I hope you make lots of money. :)

Mum2three - well done on another win hun. Mind it now - I wouldn't want you to pay in money and then lose it. I know how tempting it can be. Well done on another review written. I'm a total failure this month.

Legend sorry to hear you've come down with it now. I hope the Legend household feels better soon.

I have to write this before I forget, you know what I'm like. ;) Can I just say a big thank you to Michelle? She's a miracle worker and has done a brilliant job on the new spreadsheet. :A I never thought I could be excited by a spreadsheet but I am. :D It has some fab new changes, and everyone will find it much easier to use. :j:j:jThanks hun.:j:j:j

Rufus - I can't wait to see the pics of the finished article. I bet you'll be relieved when it's done too.

  • You dafty Elysia. You don't have to publically thank me. I like doing that kind of stuff. Some people can do some real whizzy things with them, but I'm just a basic user myself. It should help us all out though.

Just going to give a reminder for shop and scan, I've just done my bar codes, need to do the receipt next. I also need to go to viva, and try and write something new, but I'm feeling a bit like slobbing out after all the cleaning. Might do some knitting, as I keep having things added to the list. Lol. A novelty christmas jumper for my sisters bloke. The cheesier the better apparently. I'm not sure where I will find the time, but I said ok. If we get snowed in again this year before Christmas I might get it all done.

It's been a really productive weekend so far, so I think I can let myself slob this afternoon.
  • Legend - I hope your son feels better soon. I definitely recommend pushing to see a specialist. I had tonsillitus so many times when I was younger but for some reason no doctors ever suggested my tonsils be removed. I finally saw a specialist when I was about 23 as I was getting tonsillitus so many times every year. The doctor finally took it seriously when I started training as a teacher and I emphasised how important it was that I actually be able to talk! When I saw the specialist he said I had the worst case of chronic tonsilitus he had ever seen, and he saw tonsils every day . Apparently I had chronic tonsilitus which was permanent and then it flared up into acute tonsilitus which was when it felt more painful (I think I've got that the right way around!).
Anyway, I hope your son gets it all sorted soon for him :)

You've earned an afternoon off Michelle. I don't think anyone can deny you that. What are you knitting at the moment?

I've been taking time out to read more this week. I've just finished The Notebook - sob sob, and now I can read one of my two new Christmassy ones. I'm getting in the mood :)

How's bump doing Nicky, and DS and you of course? :)

  • Hi Everyone,

Have been spending some quality time with hubbie and Tabi so not really done much on the money making front although my ebay items have sold so hoping to clear about £30 after fees and postage, not bad for 5 dvds. Will try and do a bit more tomorrow.

Sorry about the issues with tonsilitis, it seems to be quite common for children to suffer for years, hope you get it sorted. I suffered a lot with it as a child but luckily I seemed to grow out of it although when I get run down now it does affect my throat.

Well done on the spreadsheet, will be good for next year to start recording everything properly. Really looking forward to starting the next year well and hopefully making christmas if not all birthdays money neutral :j

Had a look at your blog Rufus and can't believe how talented you are, to be able to recover a sofa with no pattern. Really is gonna look lovely when it's finished.

Morning all - working on Secret Santa now.
I am still waiting on the following coming back to me with their likes and dislikes
Legend - I know you've got your hands full with Connor being poorly again, if you get 5 minutes to pm please do!
    Skiergirl
    Sparkleychel
    Bunbun

I am going to send you over in the next hour your Secret Santa partner and if they have replied to me their likes/dislikes.
My kids are doing the picking!

If I haven't had your likes and dislikes list yet your partner will just get your name for now.
I am away until tomorrow evening, so if those who haven't replied could get their likes and dislikes to me by then I will be able to pass this info on to your partners.
Obviously - don't contact them directly as that is the point of it being secret!

    Ho ho Ho Santa xxx

Sorry for the delay :o:o PM sent now. Should I know who my presentee is now as I've had no pm

Legend - hope you and DS feel better soon

mum2one - hope the school fair went well

Rufus - gorgeous fabric on the sofa

I've done 3 viva this w/e and none have credited yet :(, also made £40+ m@tch betting yesterday :j so that makes up for a lack of other surveys.
