Golly its quiet on here today, I hope everyone is busy money making!
I had quite a few ebay listings end last night so am busy packaging ready to go to the post office this afternoon before fetching the kids from school. Had day 1 of my product trial this morning - testing 2 eye creams, had a few photos taken and have got to use the product for a month and go back again - £45! Woohoo.
It is my gran's birthday on Sunday so have bought her present, and also bought another couple of Christmas bits.
Thanks to those who have sent me their likes and dislikes already - I am starting to build up a list and will let you have your Secret Santa partner before the end of the weekend. Once I have everyone's likes and dislikes I will email you these too and if you could let me have your choices back by Friday next week that would be great, I can then pass those on and my work is done! It is over to you then to pass these choices on to whoever you will get to buy for you (so it really is secret!) and your £10 and leave it to them. I did it on another thread for the last couple of years and sent my OH out to buy for me which was great because from him I don't get many surprises, I already know what I am getting this year!

Anyway, need to get packaging as it will soon be time to fetch the kids - they have been in fancy dress for Children in Need today, they looked fab this morning!
I hope everyone has a fab weekend, I won't be around too much but if I've got everyone's name for Secret Santa by the end of today/mid morning tomorrow you will have your partner during the X factor tomorrow evening!

    HI Everyone

DJ - sorry to hear things are not so great at the moment. Hopefully you can get on some survey sites etc and make a little that way - every little helps (although some of the surveys are so boring I often wonder if theyre worth the points ha ha!)
I will certainly let you know how I get on with the carboot, Im not overly optomistic but Ill think positive and hopefully it will be grand.

Foxy and Elysia - Thanks again for organising the Secret Santa - Im really quite excited about it!

Legend - Glad you were able to treat yourself

Rufus - how are those sofas coming along?

By the way, does anyone know anything about courier work? I was looking on Gumtree for some part time work the other day and the delivery company Yodel were advertising for couriers with their own car in my area. I applied and they sent me an email with some dates of recruitment days but it didnt give any information about how it works or, more importantly, how it pays - any advice/info gratefully received

DJ - meant to say yeah I have experienced people like that - once someone asked me if I would take 2p for something!!! Personally I would rather give it to the charity shop than sell it to someone like that

Me again - trying to catch up on my T surveys and have just been screened out of 7 in a row, grrrr! Told OH we are just going to have to have a baby to increase my chances of being included in the survey quota :)
  • Afternoon,

No worries on the spreadsheet Elysia just wasn't sure if doing something wrong. Have cobbled together a really basic one to keep an eye on earnings.

Had an email from the sports people and they are popping a cheque in the post. Also did a piney last night, that's 3 now since joining less than 2 weeks ago so that is exciting, hope they keep coming that frequently.

Have also joined Valued Opinions and thin they are sending me some baby stuff to test, and I get to keep 2 items, have no idea what the items are though but looking forward to the parcel turning up.

Had an awful nights sleep, Tabi was up every hour last night, so currently chilling out on the sofa watching the polar express together, starting to get into the christmas mood now!

Good luck with all your money making today.

Oh and thanks on the list of survey sights Elysia, can't believe how many there are, still got a few to join off the first page but will slowly work through the list over the next few months.

Bought them for 1p from Tesco back in the summer so am selling them on facebook for £1 each! lol OH has started calling me Alan Sugar! Have sold a few of the Aquadraw thingys on there too for £1 each!

We are off out to the big Christmas Light Switch on in town tonight so wont be on till later! Hope your all ok and have a fab Friday evening! x

Sorry I've been off today - I was trying to find surveys this morning, and then had a sudden rush on. I bought OH one of those red letter days experience thingys for his birthday (April) off DD2. Over the summer, whenever it was his week off work, it was always raining etc, so we didn't do it. I found out last week that it expires next week.

He has next week off work (again. :() so I THOUGHT I booked it for next Friday. This morning I had an email reminding me it was today. OH wasn't very impressed as he finished work, got changed and was out again doing his experience thing. It looked masses of fun, and the instructor even said I could have had a go for free. I didn't though. We got back late, and I've been doing surveys since, so sorry I've been missing. OH had a great time though. :)

Legend - what a shame about the lights. I hope DS is feeling better.

Boat - well done on the cheque. I've not heard off mine yet. :(

Claros - It doesn't work like that, even with kids they sometimes don't want you. I tell them I have a 20yr old and an 8 yr old, and they want teenagers and babies - you can't win. ;) LOL

Rufus - how's it coming along? Are there new pics on your blo*g? I'll take a look if I find 5 minutes later. :)

Foxy - I need to message you too. I'll do it now before I forget. You have a great weekend hun.

Michelle honey - thanks for popping in. :) Great redeems, woohoo. :D I'm glad you're managing to buy some lovely presents and I hope your parcels arrived safely.

I don't like to bother you with the spreadsheet. You have so much going on. DD and I managed to put one together, and it was exactly the same format as the one Jam Tart left us with last year. The trouble is, I don't know how to have a link to it on the front page. I'll have to email it to everyone, and knowing how busy it is in January, I'd rather not, I'll be there forever. Do you have any idea how I would go about it?

ETA: Ooh I just answered my own question - I'm sure it was linked to a Thrifty Gifty blog - If we could get that back up and running again, we could keep most of the survey site info and challenges on there. :D

  • evening all, dd is feeling much better today, she still has a graze and it's still sore inside her mouth but she has been in such a lovely mood today and plenty of mischief too.

Sorry to hear about the light switch on being a bit pants Legend, well done on the money making your doing great.

Sorry to hear Tabi kept you up through the night boatgirl, I hope she settles into a routine soon. I remember the first few weeks with dd were so tiring. Make sure you rest whenever she does to keep your strength up.

Sorry to hear about the financial situation djstar, it is an expensive time of the year and I think we need to pull the reins in after Christmas too.

Well done on the money making michelle, nice payouts all at once just in time for Christmas.

A big thank you to Elysia and foxy for taking the time to arrange the secret santa, such a lovely idea, I'm feeling really Christmassy now :)

Had a productive day, managed to catch up on a few bits and caught up on a weeks worth of studying. Did two on viva but neither credited. Not sure if that is normal on a Friday but hope it does credit in the next few days.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
