If you haven't noticed the grabbit today - Marks and Spencers have half price toys, plus a 10% discount code today, that takes it off the full price not the half one. Also if you spend more than £30 at full price, (without adding the code) you'll get free home delivery saving another £3.50 :D

    I shouldn't have looked but I did. :D

    Morning all!
Foxy I dont find masses of bargains like some of them do on the Tesco thread as I only have 1 local T's some people have 3 or 4 in a couple of miles of another! I always pop to my Mums T's when down there but thats not so often now DS is in school afternoons! The sig outfits come in different size but I got DS a 5-6 and a 7-8 for nephew! If you let me know what size you need I can keep an eye!

Legend I would love a size 7-8 or 8-9 if they have them. Went for a little look round one of my local stores this morning, didn't find anything - although did buy a couple of presents so more crossed off the list!
I had a letter through from our gas & electric wanting to put the dd up by nearly £25 a month. I checked my annual usage and decided to ring them as the usage is actually less than I pay already - spoke to a lovely lady on the phone, she has changed my tariff which saves me £63 straight away and we haggled down to me paying £9 a month more than I do currently, this will be reviewed in May. I then decided to give Sky a ring to see what they could offer me, said I'd had a Virgin leaflet through the post and was considering cancelling. The nice gentleman offered me a 25% discount for 12 months - saving me over £200 in the next year. I am so chuffed, both phone calls lasted no more than 5 minutes and I had no messing about whatsoever!
Off to sort out my present cupboard now!!!

  • Belated good morning to you all, have had the health vistor round this morning so running a little behind.

My online chat about sport went well last night, hope they pay out ok.

Pablos, try not to worry, my blood pressure went sky high for a bit during the 2nd tri and ended up being monitored, turned out to be a bug and was let out and told to rest at home, meant I was signed off for the rest of pregnancy so not all bad! The best thing you can do is relax, and it wll hopefully bring the blood pressure down.

Got my first pine cone voucher this morning, these are going in a pot for my christmas shop, hope to get a few more surveys soon.

Thanks Elysia on the m & s tip, need to get some bits and bobs so will have a look in a bit.

Just popped on to have a nose whats going on. I have been at it all morning, cooked dinner for later then remembered me and YD are eating round ED's so will not have to cook for us two tomorrow. Managed to get one back cushion finished but have given it up for the rest of today as want to have a rest before going up town.

OH came in yesterday, had been to opticians and decided to go shopping after. Came in with bags full of shopping, said he had got the grandchildrens presents, trainers. They are nice but I was a bit disappointed as I wanted to choose their presents and they had given me a list of what they wanted too. Means I will have to try to find the money to get them all something what they wanted now to go with them.

Rufus - that was good of OH - mine hasn't a clue. It's a bit of a shame you didn't go together or he give you some money towards them though. Have a peep on M&S - I just got £35 of toys for less than £15, but I forgot quidco in my hurry to checkout for it all sold. ;)

Boat - well done. You had one too? I think I'd rather had mine (about fruit snacks) than yours. :rotfl: I hope they pay up too. Nothing has tracked yet.

ETA: don't forget the quidco comp - it's for a Dell tablet today. :D

  • Afternoon all, been a busy morning trying to keep dd out of mischief, her lip had gone right down but she fell over and knocked it on her toybox so it's sllightly swollen again. She is her happy, outgoing self as usual despite her accidenr. Made her a salad and fruit platter which went down well for lunch. It's just a graze on her upper lip and probably still a little sore inside.

Pablos hun, try not to worry, stress wont help but blood pressure can be reduced by what you eat too and little changes so no need to panic yet. I have funny blood, low platelet count and when I was pregnant it was getting lower and lower by the week. It go so low in the end they were even talking of a blood transfusion! Anyway long story short they gave me steriods and got things going half a week before my due date. I'm sure it will be fine :)

Fab news about the vouchers stepmum, I have about £20 tesco clubcard points but nothing I want to buy lol, not sure what I'm going to do with them?

Thank you for the link for the map Elysia, I really want to get one for my grandad but I don't know his postcode and I really don't think my mum would pass those details on to me, she is a bit like that with other peoples details :( Such a shame as he would love it. I bought a dressing gown and mouse toy for dd from M&S, hubby specifically wanted a mouse toy for dd but you would be surprised at the lack of nice mice toys there are for children so that one was perfect and the dressing gown was £5 after discount meaning my £20 disney store voucher will now go on two sets of pjs for dd instead of their super expensive dressing gowns lol.

Legend, well done on more sales, you do really well on there hun. Will pm my details over but do let me know how much I owe for cost and postage hun so I can paypal it over. Also I'm not in a rush so save your pennies until your money goes in hun. I hope it gets sorted for you really soon.

I had more craft stash turn up today and I can't wait to have a good look at it all, lots of embellishments and colourful papers.
    Comping wishlist for 2017

Savvy - do you know his address, as there is the postcode finder on the Royal Mail site. http://www2.royalmail.com/postcode-finder

I think it will be a great gift for an older man. When they did the ariel photos of the country in 2000, I did one then for my mum and SD, and my dad, and they were £30 each without the frame, so it's a huge bargain, plus it will be great to see how the two compare.
