The same questions over and over again.
Cornish - so lovely to see you again. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but it's nice that you are back with your online family again. We've missed you. Sorry about you failing your last test. Shame. It's obviously the examiners fault.
Emma - great news about OH. It's good that it's getting sorted, but it's going to mean you're struggling again, and before Christmas too.Have you been to the docs yourself? they may be able to help you too.
Boat - thanks for the code.
Karoner - govener in two schools, councillor, money maker extraordinaire (sp) how do you find the time?
Legend - woohoo - well done on getting some for Savvy. Karma will be kind to you now.
Not a councillor anymore so that gives me a lot more time. Some of the things I was involved with are not so easy to walk away from which is how I am still a governor.
All I need now is a nice paid job and I will be happyAiming to make £7,500 online in 20220 -
The holidays are coming, the holidays are coming.
I hope you manage to fit in some 'me' time too Foxy. You're working really hard, but it's paying off.
Karonher - You'll get the perfect job soon. It's out there waiting for you.
I've just done all the sponsored polls etc on T, and went to check if my latest voucher redeem was ready. Did anyone notice that you can get £30 Debenhams vouchers for 140,000? For other types it means £1 is 5,333 points but debenhams is 4,666. I know Debenhams is expensive, but it's worth looking into. I certainly buy quite a few things from them during the year.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi everyone
Sorry I havent posted much on here, I have been following as much as I can. I started a new job 6 weeks ago, going from 3 jobs to 1, and hoping for the best!! I still work long hours, but now have more free time than I used to!! The sock monkeys are sounding like a good present fro my God daughter as she was playing with her little sisters socks earlier!!
I do find it quite annoying with T as it is so long to actually get the points to redeem!!
I do know that Amazon are doing daily deals for Kindle readers, doing 1 book a day severly discounted, with a diferent book available every day. Hope this helps someone!
I hope you are all well, and hopefully I will be able to get on more and get to know people more!! Off to bed now as I have a meeting 'concerning my future' in the morning!! Eeek0 -
Well done on the redeems - just in time for Christmas.
Hi Michelle - good luck with the governor role. I do it for 2 local schools although it was because I was a councillor and not becuse I had children. It still takes up a lot of time and I have just agreed to go in one day a week to help with some who struggle to read. It amazes me the fact that the parents cant be bothered to help them.
How do you find out the low prices at T? Are there scanners or do you have to keep checking at the till?
I totally agree re the reading, I did last year started off as one afternoon, and June to end of term I was in school 3 days a week, but its the ones that need the help that don't get it.
I've noticed its the same again this yr, I have last yr of key stage 1, just do 1 afternoon and really feel for some of the children, xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello Josie - that's brilliant news about the less hours. Hopefully you'll feel a bit more organised with only one job to think about. Thanks for the tips about the kindle. I'm going to have a look - I didn't know they did a special offer every day.
I hope your meeting goes well - and come back soon.
Rufus - I hope the sofa is coming along nicely.
Gill - How's your kindle fund doing? Are you nearly there yet?
Legend and Savvy - how are the kids this morning? I hope DD isn't too bruised Savvy.
Morning to everyone else too. I'm shattered today, and didn't want to get up. I'd best go take that drink, it might perk me up a bit. I thought it was OH's day off today, and I was welcoming some time away from the comp for a few hours. It's tomorrow though but I'm going with my mum and sisters to the Festive Gift Fair at the NEC. More Christmas shoppingI only need stocking fillers now. It's great for all things but it mainly sells stuff you don't see on the high street, so it's perfect for stocking gifts, and people who you don't know what to buy for.
Talking about awkward gifts - I saw this on Grabbit last night, they've moved it to the freebie board as its P+P only.

It's an ordance survey map of your postcode, but taken in the 1850's. It would be really interesting to see how the area has changed over time. It would be perfect for grandad's, yours or the kids.Only £2.99 p+p, and just buy your own frame to put it in. I've bought Stepdad one, as he loves that kind of thing.

Morning all!
Savvy Hows DD today? Bless her hope shes feeling less sore today! Not on the look out for anything specific but I will be sure to let you know if I do need anything! x
Elysia Connor still has this awful cough but is quite happy sitting next to me eating an ice lolly at 9am?! Strange boy! Have a great time at the Fayre sounds fab! Our towns lights are going on Friday and both Connor and I are so excited!
Rufus Hope the sofa is goign well Rufus cant wait to see pics of the finished project!
Karonher as for Tesco bargain hunting a self scanner in certain aisles is a God send! Although the pictures on the Tesco thread help me no end and thats why I will be posting more here for you all as I know how hard it is to keep up with everything! If your store doesnt have a scanner thing you can always ask the pharmacist to scan the odd item as they dont really care about price! I try not to take things to a manned till because if they see it so cheap they may not sell it to you! lol
Foxy I dont find masses of bargains like some of them do on the Tesco thread as I only have 1 local T's some people have 3 or 4 in a couple of miles of another! I always pop to my Mums T's when down there but thats not so often now DS is in school afternoons! The sig outfits come in different size but I got DS a 5-6 and a 7-8 for nephew! If you let me know what size you need I can keep an eye!
NickyBo, Gill, sparklychel,cha97 michelle, stepmum, boatgirl, mumtothree, emmad, djstar, cornishchick and anyone else I have missed :santa2:
No plans today really, meeting a few people with Facebook sales! Probably make a trip to T's to see if I missed anything! lol:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

well no moneymaking for me over the last few days. Had diabetes test at the hospital yesterday, they were meant to call me yesterday with the results but of course I had no call! going to give them till this afternoon and then try and work out who I can call to find out!
Then I had 28 week midwife appointment, my wee has been sent off because of protein (is that tmi?? sorry if it is!) and then my blood pressure is too high. Now my sister has had pre eclampsia three times so I know protein and high bp is BADDD. Theyve arranged for a midwife to come round today to see if it was a one off or if its still high, if it is high I think I'll be going into hospital arghhhhh.
The thing thats annoyed me most is that it was a student doing my blood pressure yesterday, she ended up doing it three times, each time getting a completely different reading so who knows if what she wrote down was correct! I think the proper midwife should have stepped in because I've ended up with a VERY odd reading anyway. (I also wish theyd give a rough time but I know they cant really do that..depends who else they have to see - I'm just being grumpy...)
Ok rant over, on a moneymaking note, I did redeem another £5 on mysurvey on Monday. Woo! I've lost my moneymaking mojo now though. Need to get back on it!May Grocery Challenge -£216/4000 -
Morning all
Pretty hectic here at the moment. OH finished painting the ceiling yesterday and we both had a go at the woodwork paint. Little bit left to do which I cant reach and he is back as work today and tomorrow and out all day Friday so looks like he will have to finish it off on Saturday. He has the weekend off thank goodness.
I got the cushion covers cut out yesterday and finished making the seat ones up. I am hoping I can get the back ones done this morning if I get my finger out. I have been doing some surveys all morning so far, had quite a few this morning for a change. Meeting my friend up town this afternoon then going to ED's for tea as its eldest GS's birthday today.
Hoping tomorrow I can get a full day in on doing the sofa.
Nice to see everyone on here even if you are only popping in and out.
Try to come on lunch time for a break if I can xx0 -
Pablo's chill hun - it won't be doing your blood pressure any good. Students here have to do it three times too, but then as you get worked up, it's bound to go higher anyway. Just sit and rest and don't worry too much.
It does run in families - My mum was in hospital for months with me, and I had it with my first too, not so much with the second. I hope the glucose test comes back ok, that's all you need on top of everything. I'll be thinking of you. - if you do go in to hospital, could you just pop in a sec and let us know? I/We'll be worried else.
Legend - the gift fayre is like having 300 or more shops in a couple of exhibition halls. It's great! Ainsley Harriet is there this year, selling autographed books - Great pressies for foodies.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi guys just popping in quickly whilst my mindee is having his nap. Should take the time to clean really but I can't be bothered today lol Haven't had time to read through the last few pages properly yet so I hope that all are well.
Have done a bit of money making so keeping up with my 2.50. Plus I finally had a visit from the toothfairy although I think that after all the gum bought I may not have made that much. I had a boost from Mr T as when my club vouchers arrived it had that thing about checking for unused ones and when I did I had £20 from 2009  so printed those out and that's going to be a nice extra. Are they still doubling in store does anyone know? We have a new big one opening just down the road on Monday so hoping to be able to start grabbing some bargains.
Well gonna have a coffee and catch up now so may pop back later if time.0
