Thanks chel, I'm trying to figure it out, if you cut strips into 3 inch strips, the you only need to cut in half width wise. They suggest 150cm length soooo.. 150cm in yards is 1.64. The spool is 25 yards. Tutorials suggest you need 5/6 yards per tutu. Then by logic ther is enough to make several? My head hurts lol. Actually I would be worried being hit with import tax and excise, cant figure out whether it is actually cheaper to buy from the uk or notComping wishlist for 2017

what kind of tutu are you doing ?
you have confused me lol not difficult i know lol
i used 50 yards per tutu and used the width they were because it scrunches up
then you measure how long you want it to be on the child add a couple of inches for the band
i'll take a photo of 1 i did be right back x0 -

theres a couple of pictures on there
you need quite a lot because its light and scrunches up and you want enough to cover the waistband0 -
Haha, I think it's confusing because you usually buy tulle in 150cm width and by the metre where as the width is 6 inches on these spools by the metre which is a massive difference meaning you have to cut them both lengthwise and width wise to get the correct length. I will be using 3inch width so would need to cut it in half length ways and then measure 150cms lol It may be easier to buy it in the normal width. Also I'm going to use ribbon instead of elastic. I don't do things by half do I!? lol.
I'm also have other craft projects to buy for later, but patiently waiting for my carft order to arrive (I hope it is today otherwise I'm going to be so disappointed later) I have a little list ging of craft projects to be made including a mateaer wreath for the table and chocolate pinecones too. Fancy doing some swet trees too but o idea how to 'plant' them lolComping wishlist for 2017

ah right i see now
i bought the spools to save all the cutting
plus when i looked [in feb this year] it was the cheapest way to do it
think it worked out i got 5 or 6 tutus for about £25
i love the sweet trees too , was thinking of having a go for christmas
depends on whether i can get lot of lollies cheap0 -
I worked it out the other way, 15.4cm x 25(yards) = 375 for the spools. 150cm x 1(yard) = 150 which is the area. You need 5 yards of the longer material. 375/150 = 2.5 (metres) So your right 2 rolls would indeed be correct
It would be cheaper to by the spools. Actually it works out ideal and much cheaper just the waiting time is so long for shipping. I best order sooner rather than later to get it here before Christmas. Was the netting the soft type instead of the hard scratchy type?
They look lovely by the way xComping wishlist for 2017

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself properly. My name is Liz, I popped in briefly about a week ago but the very next day i went into hospital to deliver. It wasn't that straightforward and ended up having an emergency c-section after 35 hours of labour. Our little girl more than makes up for all the pain though! Got home Sunday and am now starting to feel slightly more human.
So all in all a very eventful week, made redundant on the Monday and became a mum on Thursday. I still get my SMP and some redundancy pay but would like to supplement the family income where I can to provide the treats until am able to find a part time job next summer when my maternity pay finishes.
Will digest all the tips on the first few pages but any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks0
