well done cha97michelle glad you copied it over I am going to find it now for the E I said I would give it the other day. Have a few hours work to do off the computer today and have to try and get my 4 your old to tidy her room and do her homework so that should be fun but hoping to do some more rating and writing tonight. On a plus i'm feeling great as my youngest got up at 740 instead of the usual 630, it's amazing how a bit extra sleep makes you feel.

    Have a good day all

  • Morning everyone, sorry i was not on yesterday, been busy trying to make heads or tails of my tasks for my childminding course.

it does not help that i used to teach, and the person teaching us does not have a clue, and i hate when someone just reads off apowerpoint with no explanation arghhhhh, there are no support materials, the book that has been recommended has nothing to do with the course, and I am expected to do task 1 and 2 by next week with just generic instructions, was online most of last night till 9am trying to find out what is required in the tasks, and it is a lot more than was hinted at grrrrrr, so in for a long weekend I think - hahah rant over now

    Stepmum
    - did you do the CYPOP 5 unit, if so are there any books etc relating to the course that may be useful or any websites.

went to Ikea yesterday and bought my youngest her first bed, she will be sharing with my eldest daughter (15) my eldest does not mind at all, my youngest is usually in there with her anyway when she can be, so i have been sortign the room out so they each have sperate space and a place for my eldests bits and pieces she does not want my youngest to touch.

have managed a few surveys this morning, but am super tired after last nights internet research, I think a coffee is in order

Legend - it's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DD is unwrapping it at this very moment. I couldn't wait for her birthday, so she's having her main pressie now. :D Thanks for the info on the toy sale. :)

Knit - sorry to hear about the lack of teaching on your course. I had a similar sort of thing when I did a part time college course a few years ago. The teacher was so dippy she was away with the fairies half of the time. I think it was all my own research that got me through, I know several people falied as a result. :( Well done on the Baking bible. Woohoo. I love bargains but freebies are even better. :D

Emma - well done. You're doing a wonderful job. I'm glad you got a lie in.

Michelle - Well done on your review. :) I'll be over later to catch up rating.

What's everyone's plans for today then? I'm popping to Ikea too - DD1 needs a new chair for her desk.

  • Woohoo, I just completed a Viva survey and that took me to £10! I redeemed straight away so should get that at the beginning of October :T

I'm off to Tesco tomorrow so I think I'll be writing a list of all the toy bargains to look for. I'm also going to buy a few bits I need so I can do some more jam and chutney making. Elysia - for the whisky marmalade, is there a set amount of whisky you add or do you just guess? I don't want to make it too strong but I won't be able to test it to see!

I've got a day in planned with my DS. DH is working most of the day so DS and I are going to do some baking and playing. That is, if he cheers up with me. He suddenly decided he wanted to go back to the house we rented in France last year, but he wants to go RIGHT NOW! I've explained why we can't but he's still not happy with me :o

  • Morning all, hope your all having a money making morning.

I'm feeling much better today, not 100% but certainly getting there, just slowly doing some surveys here and there, not worrying about it too much.

Well done michelle on you E's, always a bonus :)

Well done knit on your book win, I have won a couple of times on previous giveaways too. Well done what a lovely surprise. I don't know if the course is the same as when my mum did it but when you hand it to your tutor if it needs more work they give it back to you telling you what needs to be done before it's sent off for marking. Try not to worry and just do the best you can, alot of it is common sense you would be surprised how may people take the course struggle with that part.

Legend, I thought the toy sale was Monday? If your going that way could you check please and let me know, as I picked up a dora castle for dd last week but I also picked up the ben and holly's castle in the boots 75% sale and the nara playset at a different Tesco at a fraction of the cost, I don't think she needs another playset one so I need to swap the dora I think, but bot going to be able to get to tesco next week.

Emma glad your lil one didn't have you up at the crack of dawn, it makes the world of difference that extra time in bed doesn't it lol.
Well done to you too cornish, sounds like it's all faling int place :)

Hurray Elysia! I have hubby's tucked away but I am saving it for Christmas, I keep thinking maybe he should have it early incase it's a brick by then lol

Oh dont talk to me about Ikea lol. I had a dreadful experience there yesterday, first time I have ever been as there isn't one near us. I thought I would treat myself to some more fabrics. We got lost as we went in and ended up having to walk all round the showrooms first, then went right round all the market bits until we found the fabrics. I saw loads I wanted but decided to just get two for now. Couldnt find any members of staff about but saw the sign saying cut it yourself so I cut a metre of each off and carried on going round the store, took us an hour in there altogether after stopping and drooling over their storage sections. Got to the till and the queues were a mile long but got on the end with my two metres of fabric, 20 mins later, got to the till only to be told I would have to take the fabric back to the department and get them to weigh it and package it up before I could go through the till. You can imagine what I told him to do with the fabric and I doubt they could sell it again after either lol.

I have just written out a letter of complaint to post in a minute when we go out.

We are just going up the town today, I might pop to the sewing shop while up there to see what she has got in. If we take MIL home tomorrow OH might take me to the market and I can get some fabrics up there instead, cheaper than Ikea anyway.
