    Good morning ladies,

Mum2one you are so blinking organised - I'm green with envy! I thought I was organised getting my mum, stepmum and MIL mother's day gifts already!

Susan - glad that the third thing had happened, and you have an excuse to get new china :) Just think that it is now a new year and a new start, things can only get better.

Elysia, hope the OH gets over his manflu. I'm sure he is moaning more than usual if he is on leave too.

Really need to get motivated at work today, one of the staff was in a bar brawl over the Christmas break (made the front of the local paper with a 'do you know this man?' headline) so bad press is coming. ..

Tranmere and Nellis - do you both understand bingoport now? I can do a quide guide and pm it to you tomorrow, just in case. I would do it straight away ordinarily, but so tired today. I'll just write a note to remind me.

Thankyou, yes I think I have got the hang of it now - I've managed to lose a fair few of my points at any rate :rotfl: Better luck tonight hopefully xx

Guys you will be so proud of me..>Went into M&S to see if they found me keys (nope) and checked out some of the sale stuff:

Got 7-8 Dressing gown for son hanlf price and loads of their christmas activity gift things for girls and boys all £1 or £2 each...so waht would ahve possibly been over £100 was only £46!!!

Did the same in tesco with gift bags, wrapping paper AND...3 boxes of Tesco Christmas Chocs for £1.37 each....we didn't get Teachers pressies due to snow closing the school early at Xmas, so these will do nicely as New Year Gifts for the Teacher and Class Assts!! The Chocs were originally £6 reduced to £1.37 and the bags were £1.50 reduced to 31p each. :A

Well done Nellis, what a lot of bargains. I havent been out for a few days now except to run down corner and get some electric and gas. Hoping may be we can go out tomorrow as getting bored stiff in doors. Cant do sewing as run out of fabric. Just been doing surveys etc on here to keep me going but had enough for today.

I love a good Tesco bargain Nellis. I come home so excited and the OH looks at me like I've gone out to lunch.

Just a quick thought to everyone on onepoll, if you can, try and check the surveys on there a couple of times a day. I've checked twice today and had 2 new surveys each time and I'm now 50p closer to £40!

"To help keep tabs on how much you earn/spend/save you can download a spreadsheet from ..... (Thank you Jamtart06)"

Please help - I cannot get the spreadsheet to work, even though I have not typed in the red areas. I put amounts under original cost and price paid, but the spreadsheet does not then calculate Money Saved. Where am I going wrong :(

    anyone ....

These have been a godsend for us for the last 3 years. I would recommend saving the vouchers and getting a nice 4 night break. We went to both Devon Cliffs (Haven) and Cayton Bay (Park Resorts) last year, and had an excellent time for a family of 4 for less than £150 including all the linen and entertainment passes. Only thing I can't guarantee for you is the weather, but I can say if you were to go to Cayton Bay (Scarborough) and the weather is nice, there can be no better place than the South Bay and fish and chips from winkin willy's!!!:D

As a Scarborough girl I can recommend some better places - lol
  • I know that the Sun vouchers are a cheaper way of holidaying for many but have you ever looked at the prices of small, independant parks? I work on one and I was just looking at our prices and how they compare. Most people on here seem to spend an average of £100 for a 3 night stay for a family of 4 and we work out about the same during off-peak periods. No problems with people having the Sun holidays but its still not always the cheap option when you cost everything else in.

springdreams - i just downloaded it and had a lok, it depends what version of word your using. I`m printing mine off and going to do it by hand

    nellis wd on your bargains

poohpals - I agree with you about the holidays, very often I`ve found sites cheaper or the same out of season. And you can get a date and park yu want and they always have good offers on. The sun bingo is £9.50 but you need to add on all the extras, so beware ladies check it out

I just spent this morning organising things and if anyones reclycling phones go on moneymagpie first as they got a comparison site for old mobiles, see who`s the best payout and then goto quidco or tcb and get the best deal. I could get £13 for old phone on moneymagpie so I went to quidco looked for that phone recycler and got my £13 and £3 cash back. I also sold some CD`s that was earmarked for bin and thats £18 more in the kitty.

Well Giraffe has come. But it doesnt work, it lights up but doesnt inflate....so I`ve emailed them in America waiting reply. I `d itching to take it apart and fix it but I must wait, i must wait, get that screwdriver out of your hand
