What a lovely thing to do, I think I will definitely do this with my boys and may even try to suggest it at school. :)

    Hi everyone

I am back in the game for september, feeling so much better, i really think giving up teaching, an the end of the term Iran out of steam, and i have had a lot on with sorting things out at home. Anyway will try and join in the challenges a bit more. I liked the £2.50 a day, so think this will be my personal challenge.

Back from shopping and although our T is an extra, it's quite small, and someone always grabs the bargains before me. Legend you'd have been proud of us today. I found the Birds Eye custard for 5p, I only bought one to see whether it worked, it did - so I sent DD1 back in, I only expected her to get 5 or 6 and she came back with the shelf full. We'll be living on them for months. :)

Knit - £2.50 a day is extemely managable. That's fine - its up to you. :) How did you do last month?

Claires - have some great bits for girls shoe boxes, and Wilkos for toothbrushes, toothpastes, flannels, hairbrushes and bobbles and stationary. I'm going to boast now because my boy and girl ones are all ready and wrapped waiting to go. :A

ETA: OH dear there goes me being organised - they want them to have an olympic theme this year I noticed. I'll have to see if I can squeeze something else in or make another one.

Thanks for the great challenges again Elysia.

I am going to have a look at the gas and electric change over the weekend although I think as we didn't do it that long ago it may be ok.
Food wise I now have the option of Asda or Tesco so going to see which saves me money.
My challenge is to continue doing all the surveys but also try to make the 2.50 a day.
Definately going to check out those other sites and see what is on offer.

My totals for last month were £127, not as good as some but a good month for me and all money I wouldn't have had.

Sorry to hear about your dog legend, how sad.
Rufus how awful for youryd and friends it muct have been terrifying.
  • Nice to see you back Knit. I hope you had a nice time with the kids over the summer.

I was thinking of you and if your sofa had arrived yet. :D

I got two surveys on Viva - I didn't go on yesterday, so I thought if I went on at 4.30 (when I remembered) I might just catch the last of yesterdays, and be there in time for the new ones, but it didn't work out that way - unless they haven't put the new ones on yet.

If you scroll down the page on Viva there are a list of survey sites - has anyone signed up to the GratisPoints one? I might try that and see what else is going. ;)

I've just had my PC from this morning go in my inbox, and a £20 Am voucher - so I'm off to a flying start this month :)

is there a list of al the sites that we use between us anywhere on here? I d love to make sure Im covering all bases!! Also do you tend to set up a separate email for your survey invites etc? Do you keep track yourselves of which surveys for who & the value/points they have or just rely on the sites to do it? Can I also ask what is this about f5ing please anyone? is it to get something on a site. Also can you tell me more about swagbucks?? Thanks everyone. I got the strangest thing ion post today- a boogie board!! Needless to say not through the letterbox. I won it on a biscuit website & totally forgot about it, just thinking, yeah if that ever comes. Less than 1 week & here it is- hahah summers over & so are my hols though, never mind always next year!!

Moomi - there's a list of the main earners on the first post - but by no means all. I couldn't put them all there or people would give up. How many sites are you on now? Do you think you can manage some more? The way I always think of it though is, If I have too many surveys I can delete some, but If I don't have enough, then I'm stuck. I can pm you a list of some of the other sites if you like. :)

F5 ing is just refreshing your tab, incase someone posts something extra on this forum (F5 button is on the top row of your keyboard) or you F5 when you are waiting for a bargain to come into stock like I was. :)

I'll pm you about swagbucks too. :)

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way........................... I just had the Lakeland Christmas catalogue emailed me if anyone wants a look :Dhttp://www.lakeland.co.uk/Christmas?src=emails_110901christmas_lapsed1b

  • Evening all, now September is here it's about the time the panic starts to sink in and I feel so unorganised :p

Have thought about the challenges and have decided to go for the £2.50 a day as that worked really well, £50 ebay challenge, we will try to downshift a brand shopping but bread, toilet paper, coffee and meat we wont compromise on lol.

I am commited to getting rid of any excess un-needed gifts and have a spring clean and ebay/charity shop any unwanted items.

Made £3 on viva so far, registered for next uni module, been spending much of today trying to secure a christmas present for hubby, should really get on with money making instead.

Sorry to hear about dd rufus, how awful. These things really shake you up but hope they both get through the shock quickly :(

Hope you are all doing well?
