Thanks for the challenge Elysia! Just like to ask who exactly are you calling oldies Lady!? lol

Had a really bad day yesterday, went down Mums and her and Stepdad had decided to put the family dog down. He was 17 and deteriorating with his eyesight and nipped my nephew the day before because he ould smell a chicken nugget in his hand but obviously couldnt see his hand! Also kept weeing as he walked so I think it was for the best but completely heartbreaking! Lots of tears shed between us all and his appointment wasnt until 5 so spent all day building up to it which I think made it worse. So really didnt do much money making yesterday! Plus watched that 9/11 programme last night too which brought a whole heap more tears!

Today is another day though and a mission is on to get making more money! I cant wait for Christmas!!!

  • Sorry about your dog legendmum, losing a pet is horrible. My poor little ginger monster Pablo died in december but I still miss him like crazy...my name is quite morbid now I think about it..

    As for the challenges -

ive already sorted my gas and electric (woo) and I dont have a tumble dryer so dont have much choice there... I also buy alot of value products anywat but I'll see if I can increase that a bit.
Going to sort out today see if I can put anythin on Ebay this weekend when its free, might also have a look at music magpie, I've got loads of old cds which are just sat there taking up room.

Elysia - I'd LOVE to have a Folksy shop but sadly my craft is nowhere near good enough to actually sell...one day hopefully I'll get better, at the moment its all like a child made it lolol.

  • Sorry to hear about the family dog Legend. We had to have our dog put down two years ago as his back legs went and he was in pain, it's a sad time.

Another good challenge elysia. Like Pablo we also buy quite a few of the value range and find it fine. Somethings I don't think I would ever go to value like toiletries and washing powder (my son has very bad skin so that would be a no no!)

Going to try and get a few bits on ebay this weekend but may aim more for the end of the month like you said.

Pablo's - Practise makes perfect and we all started somewhere. LOL. Do you know what? - I can't sew to save my life, but I can cross stitch. It's easy when you have a pattern to follow.;) I make cards too - but you don't want to see some of the first ones I made - I'm embarrased now that I gave them out - I thought they were good at the time. :)

Legend - If you're an oldie what am I? Sorry to hear about your Mum's dog. My Mum has a yorkie who's almost 15, deaf and blind but he's still going. Some days he's like a puppy skipping along, and other's he's like a little old man. :( I send lots of hugs to you today ((( ))).

  • Not value, but if you use facewipes, Tesco have some for 40p a pack, cucumber scent I think they are and they're really good! I've also tried to tesco sensitive ones which are 80p and theyre good aswell, even OH can use them without a reaction - alot cheaper than the other brands anyway.
value toilet roll is the only thing I wouldnt try... too much like school toilet roll eugh.

Oh I know - and you end up using triple the amount. ;) Too much information Ewwww LOL

Another thing - has everyone signed the petition at the top of the page? Teaching kids good spending habits can only be a good thing. :)

Can I just ask something with regards to earning from these surveys sites, I did my first claim from viva last night and am just a bit worried that it claimed that you must declare these extra earnings. Have you all registered as self employed and do you declare what you earn from the survey sites?

Nicnax - you won't ever earn enough just by doing surveys to pay tax. You'll be fine.

LOL I know Elysia it just worried me a bit cause aren't you supposed to register even if you don't earn enough to pay tax? (sorry I'm a worrier)
