  • When I first joined dy for reviewing I didn’t really understand it and wrote a couple of really bad reviews and then didn’t bother for nearly two years! I gave it another go in summer 2010 and haven’t stopped since. In that time my reviews have improved a lot. I didn’t used to enjoy writing them and only did it to get more points but now I don’t just do it for the money I really enjoy writing to. Reviewing isn’t for everyone it does take a bit of time but I find it a lot more enjoyable to surveys. Sorry to hear your first experience of it Karonher wasn’t too good. Hope it gets better for you.

Thanks Elysia. Not sure about the mother in law though she over stepped the mark big time this time. Really upset my OH and things don’t usually bother him.

Thanks Claireylulu - I wasn't expecting great reviews as I know I need to learn but was just a bit of a surprise. Hope the family issue can be resolved.

Pablosmummy - that really wasn't an attempt to put you off DY but just wanted you to know that if you did do the same as me and get the same reaction it is not all like that.

Savvy - sorry for the delay in replying, I haven't been on the pc for 24 hrs  Amazon is easy to sell on, I certainly didn't have to register as a business, although I did have to set up a sellers account. They either text a code or phone you to confirm your details but it was very easy to do. I've put a load of textbooks on there and added a little to the price to cover the extra postage. HTH

Hugs to claireylulu -hope it all gets sorted

Great news about the conviction stepmum

Well done on your totals everyone, I have just declared on the make £ a day thread at £171.95 :j:j, but Sept will be hard as I have done hardly any MSing this month

sorry been awol the last few days seem to have just disappeared.
well done to everyone on your fab totals:T I always feel my totals are rubbish in comparison. I haven't kept a record this month as alot of vouchers were redeemed whilst I was away.
I am very pleased with viva though. I have £9.80 to go in tomorrow and have just redeemed again
I have written a few reviews on DY but find it really hard so not sure how long I will continue.

You do get better with the reviews though. I can write a decent one in about 20 minutes these days, because I do think before I sit down. If I am reading a book or playing a game with the kids say. My white goods ones were nearer to 45 minutes though checking facts.

I noticed I have a user zoom thing on my computer. I have no idea where I got it from, what it is there for??

I'm intrigued now to see what is said about them.

I "think" user zoom follows how you use your computer, I installed it, then they wanted me to find out about changing my utilities online, you had to actually go almost all the way through the process, I decided I didn't want tons of emails from utility peeps! So I uninstalled it, I decided they were a bit too "nosy", there's enough snooping done online, didn't want any more.

If you find user zoom on your front page, right click on it and it will say "uninstall user zoom" which I did, I'm not interested in them.

But I did a survey for £1, onwards and upwards :p

  • Evening everyone, hope we all had a good day and had that last push for August totals, the month has flown by.

Thanks for the reply skiergirl, think I may have to give them a call and see why it wants a vat registered number, I'm not a business so it seems a bit odd.

Well done on your totals so far all. Have just pushed another redeem on viva and have my totals for the month now. surveys £154.40, ebay £96.77, other £100.10, total £351.27

Super pleased as last month wasn't very good in any respect and it will help with holiday spends. Whilst I am back into the way of ebay again I have sorted through the house, have a pile of ebay things which I am listing later (plenty more to go though) and sorted a bag full to be dropped into a charity shop, mostly new that I can't be hassled with to ebay, good karma all around.

Sorry I didn't reply again September - I googled it but didn't get much of a response. I gave up in the end, and took DD2 out to the cinema - Orange Wednesday so cost less than £10. for both of us. :)

Great totals Savvy - and don't worry bunbun (and anyone else) that your totals may be lower - it's all extra that you didn't have before :D I'm so pleased for everyone.

Ooh new Swg code out - I'll see if I can find it. Just a mo.
Damn - it's one on the swidget and I can't find them :(

hope you had a good time at the cinema. what did you see?

I think part of my problem is I don't write my totals down but I have now got enough to pay for ds1's trip to France so haven't done too badly:D

OH went to an amateur radio rallye when we were on holiday and won a raffle prize. it was a new radio so he has put his old one on ebay. it has one bid already so at least it has sold and hopefully will get more bids before Sunday

still not sure what is happening with OH and work in September. he is looking to go back (no choice unfortunately) as a staged return. he has contacted the local union person to arrange a meeting but had no reply:(

We saw The Smurfs in 3D. DD liked it, but it was ok - ish.

Oh well that's good news Bunbun. At least he hasn't said no and He's trying to work through it.

Oh no - I feel your pain. My dad is into his ameture (sp) radios. He hasn't got an ebay account, and so he get's me to buy them for him. If he wants to buy one this weekend, It'll probs be yours ;)

I found the code it's on the swidget - I downloaded it to FB. It starts TheLastDayOfAugXXXXX or something similar if you can get it too. It's worth 7 SB's :)
