i found i didn't get a crown for about 8 months, and now i have written about 215 reviews and have had 8 of them. Trouble is i don't think all nominations are equal. I was pretty sure i was getting my last one as one of the guides made a comment about how well written it was (and it was their category) so although i didn't know it was nominated, i felt ok.
Once i wrote one and was sure it would get one, and it didn't the next week, but did about a month later.
You never can tell. Just always write your best, and you will work out your own winning formula. (mine seems to be by writing in the day while the kids are playing, or by writing on a weekend evening with a glass of vino.)0 -
hope everyone is having fun with ebay listings, something interesting came up that I've never seen before, - about me listing so many of branded names goods, that I have had my limit for the month, and if I want to sell branded items, I have to wait 30 days for the next allowance, or upgrade to a business account.
For me, I buy clothes in the sale, then 6 months later, not wore them and then decide to flog them on, if I was asking a fortune wouldn't mind, but starting at 99p!! Just something to be aware of.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Apparently you are only allowed to list 100 items a month mum2one - it's to protect people against forgeries (sp) I expect.
Coco - I tried to find you on DooU but can't. Can you find me? If you look in the community section, and scroll down to the posts for 1st May, you'll find me there. There is definitely no way of knowing whether you'll get a crown, as long as you love what you are doing, that's the main thing. The money helps too.
Chow - is an odd one. You earn the same as dooU, by reviewing and rating, but there is a fund, and everyone who gets an 'E' (equivalent of a crown) gets a share of the pot, the more 'E's the more you get. So paste over your best work. Michelle and I had brilliant results this month, but there was also a promotion on for an extra 15p per review. It's ended now, but we'll look out for another promotion and let you know.
Thanks for popping in Tranmere. It's lovely to see you. I hope DS got on Ok. Don't give up the money making, it will get better.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Elysia - thanks for the challenges blog, will look into it. Just made a card for a new home, and "wallpapered" the inside , I`m sure I`m not all there.
Great to see you all making so much money.....but remember dont let it consume you, quality of life is more important.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I`m money neutral for christmas nearly....DS wanted an i-mac so got it for him out of my sale of my motorhome. and DD wanted vouchers which I`ve sorted, been saving £10 a week on a gift card.
If I watch the grabbit boards now, I can get all the little bits and I`ve reduced my people i`m giving gifts too by 6 so roll on Santa....I love christmas cant you tell
Savvybunny / candie - i see you posted on another thread about the christmas elf - elysia started a blog, cant remember what it was called thoughChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Wow. Love that card Susan. I was just thinking to myself it would be cool if a card for a new home had stuff to make a cuppa inside. Along the lines of happy new home, just in case you can't find the tea bags. I might also be being a bit odd. I have had shop bought cards before with a tea bag taped inside with have a drink on me written in.
I can't believe Sunday is almost over already. We've been out all afternoon, so i am just going round all the sites again checking what is going on.0 -
Susan - you mean Jingles our elf? Yes he has his own bl*g. He's been on his hols this year, my sister took him to Goa with her, and he's been photographed, drinking cocktails, at a party, and sunbathing by the pool. My sister even got his passport stamped. He's going to bring the photo album when he arrives on Dec 1st. I'm on the look out now for a Mrs Jingles, we can get up to more mischeif with two.
Am I mad or what? I love Christmas more than the kids. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Michelle - I had a link to a site that made loads of cards with teabags inside, or sachets of coffee - and typically I can't find it now.You could have had a look for inspiration.

All, exept one, of my items sold over the weekend, so not too bad. I had a £3 survey off one site, and have worked my way through everything on T. Not much out there.
Just a reminder - it's Sunday, so upload your S+S receipts etc.
And legend if you're around - I'm just popping on the tissue thingy now.I haven't been on so far this week.

Hi everyone, hope you all had lovely days and hope all dad's enjoyed their days too.
Hope your mum is recovering well Elysia. Got a bit distracted today by your blog, you cards are beautiful. I'm all intrigued by the tissue thingy now lol
Been catching up with everything today, surveys and paperwork etc. Just realised I have 7 days to submit my assignment and I have barely started, have had a migraine all day and feel a bit too ill to do anything requiring much brain power.
I read up on christmas elf and it looks rather good, dd might be a little too young to understand this year but even so me and hubby will have fun and get us all in the spirit.
Sorry I haven't replied to everyone, I'm going to have to call it a night, I don't think being at the computer is helping my migraine. Night all xComping wishlist for 2017

Legendmum, I posted on the Elf thread, ebay is great for finding an elf, search for gnome or fairy and lots of them pop up, but your elf can be anything really. I have a fairy doll for y youngest and knitted gnomes for the eldest and i have a pixi she is so cute - I got carried away last year - you can see them on their blog here http://blinkysmickleifigus.blogspot.com/ at the top I have tabs with ideas on what to do etc, these are ideas I collected from all over the place last year - hope this helps a little, my lot has so much fun last year, I cant wait to have them come visit again0
