    Morning everyone,

quite a grey day here, but I am determined to get dressed and up and out, going to walk the mile and a half to my local Lidl, mainly for the exercise and pick up some fruit and veg, so a 3 mile round trip will get me going this morning.

Done a review on DU, well it is tips on selling on ebay lol, Goign to do a bit of rating then start my day. Going to try and fit as much in as I can today as back in work tomorrow for my 3 days, roll on Thursday. I have to do a bit of gardening too.

Hope you all have a wonderful start to your day x

    Hey everyone.

I have a question about DY, specifically about the way you can write music album reviews. When you read them, do you prefer a brief overview of all the tracks, just the best and worst tracks or something else altogether? I've been trying to get the balance right recently after speaking to the music guide on there and wondered if you guys could help me at all with that. Thanks.

Hiya hun - I've not actually written a music review - but actually having read/rated hundreds, in my opinion, the best ones talk as an album as a whole, and note specific tracks only when needed - read this one, to see what I mean.(Sorry it is written by a Guide).

I hate the ones, that are like a big list, I could find that out myself, I'd rather have more opinion, if you see what I mean. Saying that - this review is a good fusion of the two.

I agree, it's hard, but I think if you are satisified you've done a good job, you will have done. ;) Don't worry about what others think.

The guide you cited there was actually the one that I've spoken to about music reviews, haha. He said that I should write less about the tracks and more about the album as a whole as well. Which I have tried to do. I find that I get the same response to them both from all the people who rated them all (apart from one person but I feel that may have been a revenge rate anyway so I shall not include her for purposes of correct figures). With one, I tried to talk more about the album as a whole and with another it was more track by track and with another I just did the best tracks. I don't know which one would be best though.

Don't worry so much. Just stick with what style is best for you. The more you write, the better you will get anyway, and you'll find you get crowns when you least expect it - I know the ones I think will get crowns never do. ;)

Just rate as often as you can, to build up your rates, and you'll make money no matter what. The crowns will come in time - I promise. :D

    Is your username the same?

Managed yet another £1 on viva.. done the same survey about 3 times!

I've written a couple of reviews so will put one on DY each day, rated lots too.

elysia - yeah, i thought a couple of mine might get crowns. people even said they nominated them so i was fairly hopeful but i got nothing for them. i like writing anyway though so it's not like i mind too much if i don't get anything extra. it would be nice though :). and i always rate back (with the occasional exception if i miss people or anything silly like that but if people tell me i missed them i always go back to them and rate 2 instead of 1).

Yep, same username as on here. :)

While I remember, does Ciao pay in any form other than BACS? I dont have a bank account that can have things paid into or taken out of online (it really is for my own good :rotfl:) so unless it pays by cheque or can go to paypal (my mother's account, not mine XD) then I can't join that one.

Afternoon all, just checking in so you know I have not gone awol.. I am trying to keep up with surveys but sadly getting screened out of most of them :(

Really busy at the moment preparing for the school Summer Fair, I have 3 bags of cuddly toys here that have been washed and dried yesterday that I need to wrap in cellophane. Got to go to Tatton Park in a couple of hours to pick DS1 up from his Water Activity weekend with the cubs - I've really missed him, house has been so quiet without him :p.

Hope everyone else is well :)
