The main thing he asked for was a box set of dvds for the Columbo series. I just went on Amazon and they had it for £55 so I had enough vouchers to cover it. Looked on Play and its selling on there for £85!! so I think I got a bargain. He uses Play himself so will probs look on there when he gets it to see how much it was lol. I had saved up £135 in vouchers so ordred youngest daughter some new straighteners for her birthday and still have £55 on my balance.

Absolutely skint right now with moving house...and 2 birthdays have popped up this month! So i have dug into the christmas stash, it's an emergency so i found a couple of things to use. Really having to scrimp and save on food right now. Been doing lots of surveys, been getting screened out of lots too.

scatty - i found a birthday this month I had forgotten about, only card though instead of present so wasnt too bad. We found a shop in the shopping centre near us called Paper Box and all their cards are 75p. Some looked really big and expensive, lovely cards so bought a few more while I was there as its a car jobby to get there (I dont drive). For presents though I have a list that I keep on the computer as a spread sheet and I can type in what I have bought for them etc then each year I just save it as a new spread sheet and start again. That way I dont forget the ones I have to buy gifts for and have them all ready in advance.

    Morning - OOps afternoon, everyone.

Have been listing on eb again today. Not paid the extra 6p as it's things that I don't expect will do well, if I get the minimum I put it on for, I'll be happy. If they don't sell, they'll go towards a carboot later in the year. I've been on T too - all down to the oath - I avoided it before. ;)

Well done on your bargains Rufus - and being so organised.

I might be AWOL a lot, this week and next, there's been a death in the family and also my mum goes into hospital for an op on Wednesday and is in for over a week, so I'll be around as and when I can, mostly on the evenings.

Okay bit of a late joiner, but would like to have a go!!

The threads confuse me slightly and I never know where to look or will everything be on this thread? I liked last years where people shoed pics of the things they had made or ideas..... or will the be somewhere else :o

Anyway - I have just opened a Christmas 2011 bank account and put a whole 16p in there waiting for the next bit of available cash! My Money jar (Giant vodka bottle) is growing, Im going to do the supermarket thing and put in 'saved money' from my reciept.

I did try last year and make bits and pieces but only really got round to snowman soup & reindeer poop.

Thinking of making a few different hampers this year (that was the plan last year but never really got round to it) I saw somewhere on here a film night one, I think I may do that for my brother and sister-in-law... any other hamper like ideas?

Finally - Sorry if I have written this on the wrong part - I have no sense of direction in the outside world so this is a maze to me! :p

Badsaver - hello and welcome to the thread.

Right, this thread is where we do surveys and things to earn money to pay for Christmas. There is another thread here to get organised for Christmas, or theres one here about making stuff for Christmas. Join them all - I have. ;)

If you get confused and lose what thread you'd like to visit - you can subscribe and they will email you every morning if there's been new posts. It's really easy to do - just go to thread tools on the green banner under the page numbers, and you just click subscribe to this thread (or something like that). I do it too - as I forget to check for new posts.

If you want to join in with the money making aspect, you are most welcome to - just read through the first few posts on page one - that will give you an idea what we do, and what you need to do next. OK? I hope this has helped. :)

Sorry to hear of your bereavement Elysia. Hope your Mum is ok.

Went to car boot sale this morning. Arrived just after 7 and were rained out by about 9 but still made £10 over the pitch fee so not too unhappy.

With the money at the village fair yeasterday I have made £15 this weekend so thats 6 days x2.50. :j

Another village fair this coming weekend so this week should be fairly easy to make the money on including surveys etc.
