    Sorry to hear of your familys loss Elysia, our thoughts are with you during this terrible time. If there is anything we can do please let us know.

    Having a wonderful day (tone of sarcasm) dd has now taken to emptying the contents of her nappy as soon as she has filled them, of course before we can get to them, I just don't know what to do with her :mad: She is normally the politest, most well behaved child but I cannot understand why she has over the past few days turned into a horror :(

    Not made my £2.50 for the day yet, was kicked off right in the middle of a long VO survey so gave up on that, no surveys apart from 2looney left. Think I will just take the hit a put a few quid in my Christmas Pig instead.

    Having a pamper evening tonight to try to relax, and use up some of my toiletries stash which is taking up valuable present stashing hiding places :rotfl:

    Legendmum - have you tried amazon or ebay? or online fancy dress stores? I figure if you have some amazon vouchers left or anything in paypal then ebay or amazon could well be the way to go - money neutral you nutty mare :D

    Hey all, hope everyone is well. Sorry for your loss Elysia and I hope your mums op goes well! I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight Claire :)

    I've done a couple surveys on T today. In the process of listing on ebay but I'm giving myself a bit of a break as I started looking at stuff instead of listing.. woops!! Tried signing up to DY but when I go to register it says my email is in use, then when I try the forgotton alias and password link it says my email isn't recognised!! Emailed them so hopefully I can get up and running soon.

    Sorry for the delay in the challenges. I've been busy with DD2 today, and suddenly realised earlier that it was the 1st today. I think the Bnk Holiday on Monday threw me out. :)

    Challenge No 6 – June 2011

    1. Take the oath – Promise you will complete every survey on so and so site. Whatever site it is, is up to you. If you’re struggling with any one imparticular, make it that one, OR if one is sending you quite a lot lately, make it that. It’s your choice.

    Fill in the blanks. I, .......Skiergirl........................ do solemnly declare to partake in every survey sent to me by.............MySurvey and Toluna........................ , until the end of the month.

    2. Pay the forfeit – Earn £2.50 a day by any means possible – using vouchers while shopping, surveys, writing reviews, eBay sales spread out over the week, etc. However you'd like to do it is ok. If by the end of the evening, you haven’t earned at least £2.50, you put 50p in your savings account.

    I already do the £5 a day challenge, so will post totals on here too if that's okay

    3. Remember Quidco! I don’t know about you, but I seem to have got out of the habit of using Quidco/TCB when I’m making a small purchase, thinking, oh it’s only pennies. That could be why my payments have gone drastically down. :( Make sure you use cash back sites for EVERY online payment, and don’t forget your reward cards in store. You’ll soon see the benefit.

    They still owe me for a new phone from last year but will try and remember them. I do remember nectar for amazon though :D

    4. It’s Father’s Day this month – instead of buying cards, either you make them, or gets the kids to do it. They are more special then, and the price of some of them in the shops, is astronomical. Don’t go out and buy tonnes of card and stuff, see what you can make from what you have at home. Granddads will treasure a card off the Grandkids, the more glitter the better :D.

    Goes without saying I'll be doing this :D

    I hope these challenges are ok for you. If any has any ideas for next months challenges, don't be afraid to make any suggestions. ;) This thread is for all of us, so if you think of something we could all benefit from just shout out. I'm nice - honestly. :D

    Thanks to everyone for all the support you have given me, and to each other, you've made this thread a lovely place to be. If anyone is struggling, don't forget we are here for you, and you can pm me, anytime you like. I will help in any way I can.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'll catch up properly later or tomorrow - am in the middle of cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen and catching up on here :cool:
  • I'm back and desperately in need of ideas to save some cash. We are going to USA in December but have no money for tickets etc. So, we have set ourselves a challenge of making £2k between now and then. Any ideas? Especially any that don't include anything illegal - lol. I've put a few bits on ebay tonight and we are going to have a carboot sale next week. I'll be keeping up to all my surveys etc so they can cover presents we need to buy between now and then - that way we aren't having any un-necessary expenditure.
    Hi everyone,
    Wow, I’ve just had to catch up on SO many pages, that’ll teach me to go away for a few days!
    Elysia – so sorry to hear about your sad news. (((Hugs))) and we’re here if you need us.
    Savvy – my son is usually well behaved but he goes through phases where he turns into a demon. I looked it up in a book and it said that phases like that often mean the child is going through a big physical or mental development. I don’t know how true it is but it helps me to think that’s what is happening when my son is having one of his ‘moments’!
    Welcome to more new members, it seems our group is growing all the time :D
    In non-money making news – I got my scan date through, 22nd June, it seems ages away and I can’t wait! I have been in maternity clothes for ages and I’m only 10 weeks pregnant, I need to know whether it’s only one baby …. or more!
    Thanks for the wishes everyone - she was OH's SIL but we were very close. Funeral will be sorted out tomorrow I expect. :(
    Mum has a knee replacement on Wednesday (bit of a shock because it's been brought forward). DD1 and I are off to Manchester Friday/Saturday to see Take That, which I wish I wasn't know because of mum being in hospital, and OH goes to work at 4am so Step dad is having to look after DD2. It's been organised for months but Mum's op being changed, has messed up all our arrangements.
    Nicky - I hope there's only one in there. :)
    Poohspals - Hiya hun, long time no see. The past challenges are on post two of the first page, I think.
    Skiergirl - How are you doing hun? Any news on your op yet?
    Legend - do you have a Birthdays Card shop near you? or Party Party party? They have inflatable crocs and stuff in there.
    Savvy - enjoy your pamper evening - you deserve it.
    Cornish - well done hun. You're doing brilliantly. :)
    Claire/knit/ michelle/gemini - thanks for the wishes. It's going to be a busy week or so, but it will be fine. I'll still be doing the challenge but not posting very often.
    Savvy hun I agree with Nickybo too they all go through these phases! DS is doing my head in recently he just is like a boy posessed! Potty training was going well, apart from no. 2's as he refuses to do them on loo, until the last few days and then yesterday he pooed on the kitchen floor!!! Today hes just been horrible! I cant wait for bedtime nowadays!
