  • Hi people, feeling vile today, oh and dd ill too. Dragged us all to mr sains last nite to get food & booze for tonites party, gutted now as we are ill and have cancelled everyone coming over:(
On a plus we have plenty of food, sausage roll anyone:rotfl:
Not done any bingo/surveys today but have got my stuff together for ebay challenge.
Sell on ebay in fits and starts, IMO defo prepare clothes/items ready for photographing beforehand, list on a sat an sun for 7 days or so ur listing ends on a weekend as mentioned. Most people browse on weekends so this increases ur chances of a sale.
Its a good idea if u havent sold before on there to just spend a few mins running thru the selling procedure,
1- click on sell then enter item description (eg ladies shoes size 6)
2- click on whichever suggested categories u wish to sell under
3- this is where u click to upload a photo (u will have to upload a photo of ur item to ur pc beforehand) use simple uploader to find it if stuck.
4- type your description of your item in here,be honest and give as much info as possible, remember if you wore and item once and it looks new its still classed as 'used' on ebay this wont deter buyers, you need honest descriptions and feedback to be a good seller on ebay
5-enter your starting price the higher price you enter the more you pay to list with ebay
-enter postage and postal service (good idea to weigh item on scales and check royalmail.com for postage)
6-decide on how u would like payment I only put paypal but find people will email me and ask if i will take a postal order or cheque which i usually do
7-save and preview this is to check ur listing it wont list item till u click 'place listing'

tips- have a search on ebay see if others are selling same item and how much for
    - you can check postage from other similar items being sold
-list you item using capital letters to help it stand out
-if u use buy it now make sure u adjust the 'start auction bidding amount' too otherwise you may have put buy it now for £20 but started bidding at 99p,,if an experienced ebayer sees that they will snap up ur item for 99p even if u wanted £20 u will still have to send item for 99p I of course have never done this

I am looking forward to getting organised and selling in jan,,dont usually until summer / sept but it is a good way of getting rid of our kids endless toys and clothes and the odd item of mine.
Anyone want any help just ask,I dont know everything but will help all I can.
Challenges;am doing sealed pot but have an old coppers 5ps too which I think will empty add up and keep for this one.
DH has a b/s account we had 3 yrs ago with £1 in so that can be our saving acct.
I am loving the supermarket receipt challenge, will defo do this maybe with savers stamps too
    good luck all
Life happens when you are busy making other plans ;)

Opinion People – You get paid per survey either Bonus Points or raffle tickets. Quite a few survey sites give you tickets for a draw if you don’t make it filling out the whole survey. Each survey is worth so many points and payment is at 150 points (worth £15). Payment is by Paypal or bank transfer (BACS?) or to charity. It’s quite a nice looking site but in the past two weeks I’ve only had one survey. Grrr

Hello everyone, confession time: I read the forum on a daily basis but rarely log on and post which I guess means I'm a lurker. I haven't got round to reading all the posts so sorry if this has already been asked. I can't find opinion people on any of the cashback sites and I've tried to register but it states I need an invitation. Has anyone got a link for Opinion People.

Looking forward to starting the challenges in the new year, fingers crossed it will keep me motivated.

  • Just had my first win on BingoP! Off out to the MILs tonight so wouldn't be able to play at 8. Have done a couple of surveys today too and finished off the Roses, sealed the tin up and put my change from my car and purse in there.

Kirsty - sorry you're not feeling too well? Shame for the wine to go to waste though :) I say drink through it !

Welcome along Aspella, I'm sure someone knows something about Opinion People for you. It's not one that I use.

Ddraig, I really must start doing the opinions and polls, easy money (well points). It'll be good when we've got our little clan on there to help each other :)

Aspella - have pm'd you. Sadly Joining Opinion people is by invitation only - not referall.

Twinklestar - I hope you manage to redeem your winnings. Some sites (most actually) the minimum payout is £30. I have my fingers crossed that you are able to cash out. I'll have to have a look at that one later ;)

I went through TCB this morning and joined Gala Bingo - deposited £10 and got £15.15 cashback, so I'm a fiver up, and then won £30, and change. As I left a penny in the account it let me play with the £20 bonus - I've been playing all morning but didn't win anything else. :( I'm not greedy - I'm still £35 up. :D

I have som big baby things to sell like pushcahir ,car seat , high chair, change unit and not sure of the best place? Any advice?

    Hi Zangels

You could try the free classifieds site Vivastreet. I've listed a few items on there mostly DVDs etc that failed to sell on eBay. I've never sold anything but I have been paid cashback (one of the reasons I've used the site). You can get paid various amounts depending on what type of advert you post and which cashback site you use. I've used Getpoundsback and tracking has been 100% - £1 for first ad and 40p for subsequent adverts.

Hi Ddraig and Elysia (thanks for the PM -sounds a bit like Pinecone i.e. have to wait for a banner to pop up on another site). I recognise quite a few names on here from cashback sites and bingoport.

Aspella and Ddraig - I just filled out a survey on Survey Network, and got another invitation to Opinion people. Obviously I didn't take it up, but that's probably where I got the invite from in the first place.

Are you both members of that site?
