Im going to give this a go this year, i had already joined a few of the opinion polls but never really understood it until i read through this and the old thread, i joined the bingo but again did not realise about the posts so will now do that, bank account although i cant set up a seperate one as its too much paperwork for my SE accounts i will use an old isa i have not been using, I had already planned on selling some of my jewellery that i have made on Ebay so thats going up tomorrow and the sealed jar sounds great got lots of containers i could use
I am actually very excited about the year, we are not going on holiday but are going to concentrate on paying our car off early and decorating so any pennies i save on birthdays etc will be great
Thank you everyone for your imput, this board is very friendly and supportive if reading all the past posts says anything xxThrifty Gifty Money Making =£280 Sealed pot challenge 1192 Toluna = 77339 Bingoport = £10 redeemed + 33470 -
I been out "sale ing ", gosh it hard work. Did manage to get my niece and nephews christmas presents and birthday presents for next year, in matalan cost £12 for 4 presents and rrp 47 so thats a saving.
Went to superdrug, they got candy canes for 49p in date until 2012 12 canes in box for snowman soup
They also got gold coins 49p BOGOF in date too, for pots of gold and bathbombs £1.99 for 14 for mini pamper hampers.
Also in wilkinsons they have the chocolate lollies on a stick 8 for 49p and they`re in date too for next year for all you xmas craft fair ladies
I also wanted a new frying pan so sainsbuys were doing tefals ones half price so i got one out of my nectar points, so that was neutral
And the pound shop had a sale all the xmas stuff half price so I got 8m of nice wrapping papper 50p a roll.
So although i spent money , it was my xmas money so I`m neutral.
I love doing surveys getting vouchers and using them in the sales :T
So i saved loads so I put £5 in the savings as well
come on 2011, i`m ready for you , im excited
my one new year resolution though is i must limit time to here as i do have other things to
Well done esmer on your redeem and

I'm going to join in this group if that's ok
I'm a full time student so need to spend as little 'real money' as possible on christmas and birthdays in 2011. I'd like to do as much as I can through vouchers and deals and am hoping to make sweets next christmas too.
I'm already in YouGov, NewVistaLive, Valued Opinions, MySurvey and Ipsos, Quidco and TopCashback. I used to be a regular ebayer but got fed up with it after a while.
I plan to try out the bingo and onepoll soon too. This seems a nice group and I'm picking up all the tips as I read through.
I've bought in all my cards and wrap for 2011 in the sales and have always kept gift bags I've been given and nice tissue paper etc.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Have been following the thread so far and would like to give it a go for this year please - have been bingoing and surveying (not that I can complete many!) already do sealed pot, want be opening new account as have an empty ISA so will use that - at least tax free interest will help a little. Will look out for things I can ebay over the next few days, kids need to clear their rooms so hopefully will find a few bits. Will have lots of things in the summer when the weather is brighter cos have 2 sheds and a packed garage to clear out lol
Stressed xxxHoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

Welcome to the thread Pinkfluffybabe - You'll be bingoi-ng, ebaying and everything else before you know it.
Don't forget to get your sealed pot to put your coppers in. Every penny saved with go to buying gifts in the January sales next year, so we are SOOooOO organised we are sorting out 2012 too
Did everyone who needed a referall to Survey Network get one? I know Nickybo has joined so perhaps you could ask her. I'm not sure I like that site but it's all extra money.
I've gone back but I can't find who it was who needed an easy version of how to play on Bingoport. If anyone still needs help - could you pm me? I'll do my best to go through it as easily as I can.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I never got one, so the 1st person to PM me, I'll use.
Never got the list of Toluna names just an explanation on how to follow. I've overcome this by following the same people as Kicky222000 who I assume is Nickybo. Which means I'm following 14 people, will have to think of some topics for polls/opinions.0 -
I agree that putting an item on Ebay so it finishes late afternoon or early evening Sunday gets the best last minute (or seconds!) bids. I find starting at 99p encourages more bids and of course does not have a listing fee. A good photo with a well laid out description also helps. The first photo is free and in some categorys you can list up to 12 for free. Its quite a good idea to prepare a template for items you might sell regulary. You can save up to 10 templates.
A few plants I grew and put up for 99p reached between £25 and £55 which was a nice surprise!0 -
Hi all
Well so far I have redeemed a £10 Tesco voucher from V/O...should be here soon. Gonna put in an envelope to save towards Xmas food etc.
I have £70 ish coming from Quidco going into spare account,
Going good on the survey front...I dont really like Toluna ....seems to take forever to build up points.
Started a sealed tin today and put about £10 in. Aiming to put as much silver change/notes into it!
Much love Lisi xxNever buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!! :whistle:0
