Quick question for those who do icing and frostings, where do you get your piping bags and nozzles from? I have been looking and the sets I have seen only have a very small sized open star and closed star nozzle, I would like to have lovely fat frosting (couldn't think how to describe it) like esmer's cakes
I am soooo impressionable:rotfl:
When I first started frosting cupcakes I decided to go to Lakeland and get there starter set....... im still using it to this day, but I buy the disposable piping bags now. I did get a couple of new nozzles....... just to try something different

Esmer we can tell you are a pro cake maker spotting asda sprinkles a mile off :rotfl:
The piping set I have is this one I got it in the January sale, its ok but I don't have a nozzle as thick as the one esmer is using and it was really hard to clean the chocolate icing off! http://www.lakeland.co.uk/F/product/13042
I made £150 from ebay this month
Have 2 T vouchers pending, didn't go on there all last week but have 3000 points and 3 open surveys
Still on £4.30 on 1poll they never have anything for me
I have £1.75 on VO, I do get a few emails from them but usually when I am at work and by the time I get to them they have finished.
I have £3.25 roadkill, not as much as hoped but every penny counts!
Things still are not good for me on the money front as I am carrying us again for a third month, I won't have enough to cover all the bills myself this month so I don't know what is going to happen
Nice to see you back elysia and hope everyone else is ok xAiming to completely pay off the credit card in 2012!0 -
Only quick post as i am in middle of survey at the mo.
These are my totals for Feb:
edr25
pbase10.25
gtm32
amazon voucher 5
Car Boot 30.00

Looks pretty poor compared to last month, but haven't included any amounts I have redeemed and I am waiting for, also doing some more on Ebay to finish next week so hopefully will look a bit better for March. Still all helps though.
Also managed to pay for my dad' birthday pressie with some of my amazons I had, so pleased with that.
well done everyone for your totals again this month. keep up the good work everyone!
Elysia good to have you back, hope your lot had a good half term
see you all tomorrow x0 -
Hi Everyone
Been very out of this for a while. I'm currently rating on dooyoo at the same time and done all my toluna easy vote thingies. Can someone tell me what the roadkill is please? I've looked back quite a few pages, but haven't come across the origin yet

Thanks esmer and kec, they were the two I was looking at actually, the tala icing bag set does have the pretty vintage tin but the open star nozzle looked a bit too small for what I wanted but the professional set does look perfect for what I would like to do, thank you. Think I will be using disposable bags too, are there any you would recommend? Would be a little concerned of the cheap ones slipping or splitting.
Sorry to hear about your awful half term Elysia, your daughter was so brave to have her teeth out bless her! We have had temper tantrums from our 19 month old, over pretty much everything, bath time, tea time, nap time, luckily today I spent the whole day chasing her around, playing games and having fun and a little bit of housework x
Very well done everyone, your totals are simply amazing!! I made a grand total of £31.93 in the roadkill challenge and hubby has hidden it out of my reach to be saved for sales bless him, a nice chunk of that came from clothes pockets, the ashtray in the car (I don't smoke and forgot I put some money in there for the toll brige when we went on holiday), down and under the sofa's and we had a big change jar on our old fridge, we moved it and found lots underneath, amongst lots of dust and yukky stuff.
Night everyone, I am hanging from about 5 hours sleep in the last 48 hours so I best get to bed. Can't wait for the March challenges, a fresh month, a fresh start, we can do it
Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
I got spolit today, had a free sample of the new hair dye - the one on tv where you don't need a mirror to apply (worth £7), and theres 2 more vouchers in the box, (there valid till mid April) - think the idea the compan want a big night in promo so in theory grab a friend....
very pleased with that, going to make sure do a skin test 1st and give it longer than the est time, (haven't looked properly yet), got champange blonde, but mid brown so should give it a boost. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi Lovley ladies.
Sorry i havent had the chance to post much this month, been crazy what with one thing and another.
Well done to you all on the fab totals!! Every little will help later in the year. Hugs to you if you need them!
Esmer - Those cakes look too good to eat!!
Had a trapped nerve in my neck for the last week and not been able to do much at all. Feel a bit bad for the kids as its been half term and had planned so much. They did sort their rooms out though so now have two lovely piles for the carboot, not that i can move them! LOL! And a nice pile of decent clothes that are too small for Ebaying. Feeling a little better so have come to work on the nightshift tonight so have had the chance to sit and catch up, got to have some perks for working!!;)
Had a reasonable month for the money making.
My totals are -
Paypal - £96.95 (have spent on a few things though on ebay that i needed, fancy dress bits - Will be resold once used)
Boots Points £107.77 (Saved them for 75% sale that was rubbish so will use for gifts throughout the year)
Quidco - £51.66
Amazon Vouchers £5
One polly - £7.60
Kids have £6.30 each on youngpolly.
Next Vouchers (From petrol points) £30
(Ebay - Did sell my seats out of my old car for £350! So pleased with that as i had forgot they were in the garage till i sorted it out. Have used this money to pay for half my car insurance for this year)
Road Kill for me was £7.44. Found £5 in my DH trousers as i was about to put them in the wash! Finders Keepers!! Going to keep this seperate and see what i have by the end of the year!! £7 a month would be a right result!!:D
I have been putting my grocery savings away too. I have £57.67 in a jar at home from the last two months. Decided though that this isnt for christmas - Its going to be for my Decembers Grocery Bill as it will give me extra money for treats and sale shopping!!
Anyway I've rattled on enough!! (And I'd better do some work!! LOL!)

Claireylulu I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she is ok and recovers soon. I know how difficult it is when the people you love are far away and you feel you can do nothing. So hugs to you both0
