Well done everybody on the sock monkeys and cake making, I really wish I was that talented! But I'm not, so I'm not even going to try!

Have had a really uneventful weekend, cleaning and sorting out my bedroom - found a few more bits for ebay, and OH counted our Disneyworld fund - nearly £400, we are saving to go for my 40th (4 years and counting on Wednesday!) Need to try and keep it up! I also have my sealed jar which I put 10p and 20p into and I am also doing £1 a day for 2011 towards the sales at Christmas.
I have had a really constructive month on ebay, making about £175 this month (target was £100). Am so chuffed - means we have made £250 in the first two months of the year, which will go on paying the balance for the two Sun holidays and spending money :T

DD is still really coughing, she has suffered from bacterial bronchitis since she was 4 months old (she will be 4 in June) and is waking up in the night big time. Last night she woke up at 3 and coughed for an hour and a half solid, she doesn't bring up any phlegm or anything like that so I have had to book her back in to see the doctor, can't get in till Weds, just means lack of sleep at least until the antib's are in her system!

Have a few items listed on ebay from this weekend, have sorted out a bagful to go to the charity shop tomorrow and there is lots of items for me still to list, just can't be bothered tonight - want to chill out!

    Welldone on your Money making!!

This really does work, no joke and will help! put Vicks on the bottom of her feet, put socks on. Something todo with reflexology. Goes to the lungs quicker and stops coughing. You will be surprised at how much it helps x

  • I can only dream of cupcakes as amazing as Esmers! I do LOVE to bake by never see to be able to find time to do it :( Making a pledge with myself that i WILL start to organise myself more so that I have time to chill out and so recreational things, instead of just working and housework! I have bought tonnes of cupcake making things since before christmas and used.... NONE! Oops! Even brought three muffin trays with plastic lid that fits on top so you can transport them in the baking tray back from New York (as I always struggled with these and begrudge spenidng £3 on a box) and they are still unused.

Starting to find my way around TL slighlty more now. Have just finished all my interest surveys. I am aiming to try and make 2500 points each day that I can get on there and then have the surveys as a bonus. Have done my 2500 for today :D.

I have managed to complete 2 surveys and have finaly found where they are listed on the profile, does this update with the progress ofhaving the points credited? They currently say 'Project Open' with a '-' under points.

Also I feel confident enough to start doing some polls now and just wondered what points you are able to gain from these?

Thats some brilliant figures there, hope DD goes on ok, (mother hen moment), if DD no better in the morning ask for an earlier appointment, if they say no they haven't go one ask for a home visit, penny to a pound there find an appointment.
I knows being cheeky, but if its a regular occurance, would it be worth asking the GP for an extra set of antibiotics that you have at home for emergency.
I'm pretty luck with my one GP, with being asthmatic, winters worst, 8/10 times it goes to a chest infection, so we have a spare course ready, then re-order, same with hold in a course of steriods, with this allergy if it goes full blown and I've jabbed myself, - it triggers asthma - so its the short sharp dose of steriods. Its an absolutle godsend as it saves waiting for an appointment for a routine illness, and means get the mediciation in the body quicker.
    Hope she goes on okxx

Kec09 I just wanted to reach out and eat one of your delicious cakes!

Esmer...fantastic and a good result for you last week

    Legend..Zumba away

The rest I will catch up soon

ETA: I was thinking of making some REAL handmade soap I "treated" myself to a kit and books from Amazon with a tax rebate and would start off as making pressies and if they are good enough MAY try to sell them..what do you think?

  • Kec - those cupcakes look gorgeous, I'm now craving cake for breakfast so it's a good job we haven't got any in!

Susie - well done on doing your first fair :T. Now you've done one you'll know what to expect with the next 3 you've got lined up. I love the sock cupcakes (what is it with cupcakes and this group?!) and they were definitely worth way more than £2.

Rainbowchild - go for it! I've never made soap before so you'll have to let us know how it goes. We'd love to see some pictures of your finished items :)
