Re selling handmade soaps, I know someone who does it and you do have to have alot of testing done on them before you can legally sell them due to peoples allergies etc. Don't know what it all costs but she does sell alot and she says every time she comes up with a new type/fragrance it all has to go through the tests and it's a nightmare.

:j:j:jHello everyone - did you miss me? :j:j:j

Sparkleychel - how did you week with the OH and the kids go?

Nicola74 - You haven't posted since you said your little one was poorly - I hope they're better now.

Susie - I love your sock cupcakes. I know you said they weren't selling but you need to up the price a little - they are so nice. Hopefully they will fly out at the next one. ;)

Stepmum - I hope You, OH and your family are coming to terms with things a bit more. Grandad had a good send off by the sound of it. He'd be very proud.

Legend, Kec and Esmer - lovely cakes. Yum

Esmer - glad you got things settled with ex amicably (sp?) Natasha will feel more settled and so will you, as long as he keeps to it.

Milla - Happy Birthday for today. Has the grandbaby arrived yet? We need pics. :D

Pink - sorry to hear about your car. There's always something isn't there? :(

DDraig - thanks for the info. How's things? You been quiet on FB lately. :) Sorry about all my posts last night about the football. You never guess what - we won. :j

Kirsty - don't worry about slimming world. You still have to live. You'll get that off next week. How do I know - I put on 4lbs this week too. Didn't stray from the diet too badly, just didn't do my usual 10 miles hikes everyday - Ok five then ;)

KirstyMc, Moonpixiewitch, and Jenny f - Hiya Ladies. Welcome to the thread. I hope you are finding things ok. Just start off slowly and build it up as and when you feel you can manage it. Don't go all out, and get fed up after a week, It's hard work sometimes, and you have to stick at it. If ever you need any help just shout, and someone will be along shortly, or you can pm me about anything at all. :)

Right then? Is no-one else showing us your monthly totals? Thanks Mum2one for getting the ball rolling. Here's mine:

This is just money that has physically come in, (not what I'm waiting for)

Quidcoo - 99.02 paid into bank
TopCB - 28.71 some into bank and some amazon
    Onepolly - 40.00
    Ebay - 36.99 in paypal
Bingo win - 22.00 in bank
    Crowdoology 14.31 paypal
    Danoone - 25.00 Amazon
    Tolunaa - 15.00 Love2shop

    Total - £294.53

How did everyone's Dooyoo challenge go - or ebay whatever you did? I must admit I got nowhere near £20. I am at £17.30, and can cashout for a £20 Amazon soon, but I had £8 of that before I started. OOps.

There is a note on my page on dooU - but it is not meant for any of us, so please don't be offended, and just ignore it. It's just the older members of doou think just because they've rated my newest review they needn't do another one, when I've probably rated dozens of theirs. Some people churn them out left right and centre, someone yesterday had written 10 review in one day, I'm not like that - I like to take my time and do it properly.

I made a grand total of £3.31 for the roadkill. Not bad for free. ;) Susie - I haven't forgotten, I was looking for something nice, I may have to resort to plan B. It's horrible when you don't know someones tastes. I wouldn't like to think anyone hated something I'd bought.

Toluna - I have 19 open now, and two or three of those are worth 10,000 each, so I'm mad at the moment. I'd like to redeem and I'd like my last two lots of vouchers too please toluna, while you're at it. :rotfl:

Sorry - I've been distracted and this post has taken about an hour and half to post (finding all details off my spreadsheet and the like). No doubt there's more posts, so post your totals everyone, and we'll have a new challenge tomorrrow. :T

  • Hi everyone

Right, well as you lot have made some gorgeous cakes I have decided I want to do some too, have chosen some great ideas and will be making them with dd next week and getting hubby involved too, can't wait and I will post pics :)

Quick question for those who do icing and frostings, where do you get your piping bags and nozzles from? I have been looking and the sets I have seen only have a very small sized open star and closed star nozzle, I would like to have lovely fat frosting (couldn't think how to describe it) like esmer's cakes :D I am soooo impressionable:rotfl:

Here is my money making for February, I am very pleased and Christmas will be a breeze at this rate! I have decided to omit the names of survey sites.

    Vouchers:
    Amazon £64.52
    Love2Shop £15
    Disney £10.00
    Boots £44.99

    Paypal £9.00
    Ebay £75.00
    Quidco 70p
    Mystery Shopping £8.00

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling better, and those who had half terms hope you managed to get up to lots of fun.

Thanks everyone for spurring me on, it's not been an easy month, and certainly been lots of ups and downs for us but you all have been so lovely and have listened when I have moaned and helped me have the courage to start an open uni course, you guys are fab xx

I can't get on my spreadsheet this evening as its on other computer and our network isnt working since we put in a new modem last week but I havent received much this month I dont think.

Loonie - I have claimed a £15 Amazon voucher but havent got it yet (probs a couple of months till I get it) am back up to 10423 points with quite a few outstanding surveys
Doou - I have stuck at it as much as I could, am up to 16910 points so still a way off the voucher and its going really slow as I dont have anything to review on the higher end levels or even the middle ones.
MySurveys - I had a £5 Amazon voucher from there
Survey Network - I had £20 paypal but cant remember whether that was this month or last lol, am back up to £7.56 but have found there are not many surveys for me to do at the moment.
TCB - I have £5 in there to claim, have quite a bit more pending etc as most of my Vista orders have tracked, not sure how long I will have to wait for them though if they actually pay them all
Quidco - I had the £50 validate for my insurance but again have to wait for the money to come through, seems everything is waiting lol.

I currently have £55 worth of Amazon vouchers that I havent put on my account yet, I dont want to put them on too early as my Dad is always asking me to get him a dvd or a cd and then they use the vouchers but I want to save them up for OH's birthday or Xmas which ever. The thing I want to get him is a surround sound system but most of them seem to have a dvd player with them and we have a good dvd player already which records and has the hard drive in it as well so really I just want the surround sound without the dvd. I am hoping on paying about £150. I have another voucher coming so that will be £70 and if I can get this Doou finished it will be another £20 making £90. So will leave me with £60 to find. The quidco money would just about do it. I think if I can get it all by August I will give it to him for his birthday and then get dvds for Xmas.

Good point Savvy - I've altered the company's names so they won't come up on a search but we all know who they are!

That's a fantastic acheivement Savvy. You've done so well. :money:

I must admit my week was rubbish!!! Everything went wrong. I fell out with OH and had rows with DD1.

I took DD2 to the dentist for a check up and she had to have two teeth out. She was so brave. Nothing wrong with her teeth I might add, she had an infection and a boil on her gum. Hopefully this will cure it, because two lots of antibiotics didn't. :(

Nothing nice happened at all. :(

Guess what I did this morning - I got up late. OH had turned down the volume on the alarm clock when he went out to work (probably on purpose to get me back for moaning). I didn't hear it and was rushing getting ready for school. DD1 had been up since 5 but didn't think to wake us up. I was just going out the door and my mum phoned, did DD1 tell you it's teacher training today? I told her yesterday. Nope. Grrrr At least I didn't make it all the way to school. ;) That would have been embarrassing. :rotfl:

Cross posted with susie and rufus (that'll teach me not to refresh my page).

Well done to you both, wow what brilliant totals. Susie and rufus keep with dooyoo. You'll get there, if you give up, all the time you've spent on there so far will be a waste.

I forgot to add my fiver from my shopping each week, it's not on my spreadsheet so I forgot - I do add it to my bank acount though, so that's an extra £20 on mine.

Susie - I don't think I posted it on my last post, but I meant to. I haven't forgotten about your prize, I've been looking for something nice for you, but its hard to find something you might like, I don't know what your tastes are, so I've been waiting for something to pop out at me. I think I'll resort to plan B. ;)
