    Morning all,

Still no Elysia, I hope everything is alright.

My OH has finished his nights thank goodness. Said he will be up about 2 today. YD did come in but brought BF with her and they went up to watch a dvd, chucked him out at 9 and YD got in a right mood, wanted him to stay over lol, as if!! She then turned into her other self - the teenage monster - just hope its just a blip and she will be in a better mood over the weekend.

I was hoping we might get out for a walk up the town this afternoon but OH says he doesnt want to go out now, it doesnt feel at all Christmassy this week being stuck in doors on my own all week. Last week was much more festive with all the plans for when my Son was coming round.

I will be on the look out for any surveys going today and I will keep an eye on here to see if Elysia comes on.
  • Morning everyone.

Savvy - what bad timing with your cooker. Not what you need this close to christmas, and lucy and the laptop - nightmare.

Wouldn't worry about Elysia in a bad way. She rated on c last night about 10pm, so she will be ok, just busy, though it does seem strange her not popping in to say hello.

I'm feeling happier today. Less tired when I woke up though didn't get in bed that early. And I had been worried DS1 was ill as he was complaining his head hurt and he was cold all day yesterday, then came in to us feeling warm through the night, but he's perky today.

DH's last day at work today, so it might be my last day of any serious money making. I pushed myself and got 6 reviews on c yesterday. I was working hard as I wrote 4 from scratch. I only have one more pre-written one I can copy across now, so I might be near my limit. Balance was £137.80 this morning. I am so proud of myself for doing it. I might be running out of steam now though. It's been a great promo, and I hope there are more like it in 2012 as it is a good way to guarantee money and motivation isn't it. Now we know what to do over there.

I think i am starting to feel Christmassy.

    morning all,

Savvy - sorry bout your cake luckily I am going to family over xmas and a buffet on boxing day so I haven't attempted any baking as it is only me that eats it!!
Lucy - oh no laptop troubles are awful ours is in being fixed at the monent so I have my sisters, i'm worried they mite not fix it, it came with a phone contract and the screen keeps going off I reckon they'll come back and say it has been dropped or something to get out of fixing it.

I spent all day yesterday at the hospital with one of the residents from work was not much fun and I got home late so was not impressed problem is you are not allowed to leave them unless they are admitted and hospitals are very reluctant to admit people from care homes as they might actually need caring for!! We were there from 8.15 to after 3pm and he was offered tea and toat after 11am even though I told them he had not had food or drink since 7pm the night before and then they didn't offer him any dinner, the notes we took in told them he wore incontinence pads yet they didn't bother to check him once.

I have just put a review on c, got another one ready and i'm gonna write one more in a bit and then no more for me til after xmas, I am off next wed and thurs so think I will have a final push then and get the 50p per review at least even though the double rates will have finished by then.

I am ready for xmas now so pleased but will have to bath kids and have a run round with cloth and hoover tomorrow after work as the present opening for the whole family will be happening in my house since I have young children!

Hope you are all doing well xx

  • Morning all! i've got the most random thing to tell!
I ordered a playstation game on amazon for my partner and i used the £20 amazon voucher i had got from dooyoo.
i got an email 3 days after ordering saying my address was "undeliverable" and they had refunded me the money and the gift card too.
the next day....it turns up!. so i've got the £35 came and my money back! i dont know what to do! wether i should keep the money in my bank incase they realise their mistake and ask to take payment again? has anyone else has this problem before? :D
looks like i have a free game for the meanwhile! :D x

Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Hollie - keep the money in your account as they reclaimed my money when that happened to me. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though.

Hi Everyone - I'm still here. I wasn't feeling very sociable yesterday (stupid neighbours) so rather than spoil everyone's Christmassy mood, I didn't post.

IT's CHRISTMAS EVE EVE. WHOOPIE. I'm trying to be christmassy even if I don't feel like it much today. I'll be fine tomorrow. :D Elysia is Sooooo excited, it's lovely.

Right, I still have wrapping to do - I didn't want to be wrapping on Christmas eve like last year, so it's got to be done today.

Savvy - what a nightmare about your oven. The last book I reviewed on Chow was about Christmas and the oven broke in that too. I thought it was an omen for me :( No Christmassy baking going on in our house, as I'll eat it. I've lost a stone in four weeks, so I don't want to undo all my hardwork now.

Chel - Great news about the VIP. My rubbish slot was at 9pm, so nearly everything I wanted was gone. I did manage to buy some Christmas presents for next year though. LOL. I really wanted curtains but all my sizes had sold out. :(

Loopylou - sorry to hear about your lappie. We'll see you in the new year with the shiny new thread.

Rufus - Teenagers! They don't get any better at 20. DD1 still has her moments.

Mum2one - ooh I so jealous about Lapland. We'll get there one year. I've only ever wanted to go to three places in the world, Marrakech (done that), Prague (you're beating me to it) and see the Northern Lights. You can see them from there too, so it would be great if you got to see them. My sister is the globetrotter. She is at this moment driving back home from Gatwick, after being in Goa, India for the past three weeks.

Legend - fingers crossed DS feels by for tomorrow. You too Nicky and your DS. Sending get well hugs from Brum. :)

Michelle - I'm fine. :) I was rating all day on Ciao. I'm just breaking through the £70 mark, but I haven't written any reviews for a couple of days. I'll see if I can push myself and get through £75 but I'm going to do the rest after Christmas now.

I think I've remembered everyone, but If I haven't please accept my apologies.

    OOOH It's nearly Christmas :D:D:D

ETA: Emma. I'm sorry. Well done on being so organised, and great work getting invites so getting out of the cooking. ;) Pity you'll have to do the washing up instead. That's the worst bit. :( I hope the Man from work is OK. Did they keep him in hospital in the end?
    I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Poor you mum2one! Get well soon :A

I am guessing you might know this but I have just found you can exchange Nectar Points for Amazon vouchers. I used to convert them to Argos but I really do buy everything through Amazon now so this is very useful to know!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
