Didn't get to go to Pizza hut - the town was absolutely chocka block. Film was ok but not something I really enjoy - it's more for Elysia.
Came home to a letter off one of the so called neighbours complaining that the dog was barking while we've be gone. I know dog barking is terrible - we used to get the same thing from hers, and her poor dog is covered in weeping sores. I've never reported her though. I don't know what to do now. Has anyone got any suggestions? He's a really homely dog, and while we are all here he's fine, but if just one of us goes out, he whines and barks, so goodness knows what he does when we all leave him (it's usually only a couple of hours max - you all know, I'm usually home all day). I thought he'd calm down as he got older but he's 18months now and no better.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Elysia, you can get collars that check their barks, there are some that squirt out a spray of something or there is another one that gives a tiny vibration on their neck when they go to bark. Our old dog Rufus was terrible, once he started he wouldnt stop and then when we got Harvey he used to start him off barking and they both went for it. We bought him one of the ones that vibrates and it worked, only thing was when the battery run out we couldnt get another one the same size (we had bought it off the internet somewhere). I have been thinking of getting another one to see if it works on Harvey now as he is a right pain, not when we are out but if we have someone come in the house while we are here. Just lately YD has been bringing her friends in of an evening for an hour or so and we have to put Harvey upstairs while they are here as they are frightened of him and he keeps barking while up there. He stops for about ten mins then starts again. It gets on my nerves so must annoy the neighbours too.
Our next door neighbour who has two dogs, years ago when we had both our dogs we used to put them down in the cellar when we went out as they had a carpet down there and their beds, water bowls etc, they loved it down there like their own room, but if someone came to the door they would bark and the neighbour reported us to the council, we got a letter from them saying someone had complained. We knew who it was as we didnt have anyone living the other side at the time. We had to stop putting them downstairs after that. But now their dogs bark when they go out but they dont believe us when we tell them, they think their dogs are perfect and dont make a noise.0 -
Evening everyone, back after a nice but stressful night away with DDs grandparents, we stayed in a beautiful forest cabin
its just so awkward though, because I don't know them that well conversation was a little dry when DD went to bed. Needed the break from chow though, not gonna log on tonight either and go back at it full force tomorrow.
Welcome Hollie xx
Michelle £125  huge well done!!

Sorry to hear about your fall mum2one, so glad nothing is broken but I hope you get some rest and recover soon hun x
I don't know what to suggest Elysia about the barking. We had a dog that would bark when we were out so we were unable to leave her at all, the problem is that the neighbours have a right to peaceful enjoyment of their home but I guess it depends on how understanding they are. We tackled it by taking our dog with us if we went out or having a friend look after them at our house/their house to not upset the neighbours. Sadly they don't return the favour, leaving their three dogs in their house barking for hours on end everyday. We did report them but the local council were not interested in the slightest so we have had to put up with it. They have only got two dogs now and quite often they are barking away in the small hours of the evening but anyway that is another story and probably the least of the issue we have with them lol.
Evening all, was up at the crack of dawn getting myself sorted for the hairdressers, rushed into town to get a parking space as it was packed the other day when I got there at 9am, it was about 8.30am I arrived and it was dead, loads of parking but not many shoppers aroud. Went to the bank and deposited some checks and changed some old notes which I kept forgetting to do. Picked up my cheapo card orders from M&S would you believe I got some lovely cards for 1p and 5p. I checked everywhere I could think of for star shaped cutters and could not find any anywhere so I guess we ae doing stars free hand tomorrow unless hobycraft do them, oh and cellophane, must not forget :S
Was in the hairdressers much longer than expected but my hair is about as blonde as you can go, I said I wanted to go lighter so she said I had weaved highlights before, so she did sliced highlights and colour between the packets. It's super blonde. It does suit me but I'm really not used to it at all. Everytime I walk past a mirror I have the shock of my life lol.
Hubby has helped do dd's Christmas wrapping. There wasn't as much as I thought so I have just my side to wrap, hubby will do his side on the 24th lol. Finishing up the wrapping tonight, the mugs arrived and look really great. Have alos srted out some stuff for the charity shop and to drop off for a friend too.
Such a long long day. hope everyone is well and getting in the festive moodComping wishlist for 2017

About to call it a night. 4 reviews have gone on today, so hopefully I'll go up £4-5 again tomorrow. I also managed some wrapping for gifts that need to go to other people plus a few of ours. Just behind on all the other stuff.
Not really an early night as I still have some washing to hang up, and some presents to hide, but hopefully I will be less stressed now.
DH watched telly while I did all that lot. mmmmm. I'd love chance to slob and do nothing for a change.

Din't throttle me, but theyre 2 before they grow out of puppy stage, I'm guessinf someones been gettting spolit;)...
What we were told to do by out vet, was when you leave the house just go, we would have noramlly gone and give him a kiss and a fuss and see you later, apparently treat them as normal thing then go out, when you come back, wait till your ready for fuss and I've missed you, rather than I'm sorry we've left you etc.
Also we were told do short trips out of the house, even if it was to the garden gate, small walk, or sit in the car, over a period of time your extending the seperation period.
With us, with all the other dogs, we had worked, thou Whisky was more spolit as mum was medically retired, I'd left work when expecting Miss hoodie and dad took retirement, then Whisky went on holiday with us, but ith Bailey he has been 24/7 someones been with him, if I come into speak to someone else first he gets jealous, thats our fault as we've made such a fuss over him, their like your babies. Now when I come in, he has to wait till I've got shoes off etc, otherwise go barging in straight to him.
Just like a speration anxiety, more reassurance that you are coming back, but you do need to get out and about a bit. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Arm feels a lot better today, thank you all, think it was more dented pride, taing Miss hoodie and her friend out 2mor to an ice-cream farm, so dads got to drive!!
Bless him, at least after Fri don't need to go anywhere!!
Don't know if its ant help, in Peacocks earlier and they've already reduced their xmas prezzie range to half price, really nice shower gel and body lotion looked like cupcakes - down from £4 to £2.
Xmas Puds - Wilkos has 25% off all their puds.
I've brought ny first bday prezzie for mext yr, my friends boy - he'll be 13, so got him a Man U toilettry bag (£1.99) and slazenger deordant and showergel £1.99 - both home bargains, but would estimate £10 - when we were in Wilkos the same set was 3.35.
----
Got to cull the xmas list and bday list nxt yr, and hpefully in the lottery, I've booked to take Miss Hoodie to Lapland next dec, we were going to go for 7ngts over New Yr, but it was nearly 3k.... cut i down to a 4ngt trip, got a hotel, its in the middle of a forest! but its on an all inclusive basis, think we both need it with the yr we've had and what we've still got.
Her face was amazing, we'd picked up a couple of brocheres today, went into one travel agent, and they wanted to sell us what they wanted not what i wanted, so rang another company, saved over £100 and booked it. Apparently I came downstairs gave Miss Hoodie the brochere, and said booked for next Dec, the hotel you like and pre-booked 2 trips, poor mother was catching flies, Miss Hoodie her eyes lit up, it was the old Miss Hoodie back, shes promised she'll have a sort out for ebay and also come and help me with carboots. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Wow, lucky you on booking the trip Mum2one, it will be fab for both of you xx
Not a lot of money making going on here at the moment, just the odd survey if one comes along. I cant get my head round writing a new review for C, I couldnt find any books to do, only ones I read ages ago and cant remember them well enough. I might have a look through the toys bit later if I feel like it.
This week is dragging really badly what with OH asleep all day. I really dont have anything to do all day while he is up there as the house is spotless, just needs the vacuum over the floor but cant do that till he gets up. I dont have to go out for anything and dont have any money if I did anyway. I am just sitting here watching Xmas films and getting so bored lol. Glad tonight is his last one, he will still be asleep tomorrow but may be he will get up a bit earlier seeing as he wont have to go back to work again after. We were supposed to be getting the rest of our shopping tomorrow but looks like he might have gone this morning as hes not in yet and is usually home by 7.30. Shame as I would have like to go as well and choose some Christmassy bits.0 -
Morning guys.
Nice trip mum2one. I'd love to do that with our two. It is a lot though, same as Disneyland and all the other places I would love to take them.
Rufus - I wish you lived near me - I'm jealous your all done. I am no where near still. Too much time on ciao really, and the kids don't help as they keep getting lots out. I haven't watched anything Christmassy yet apart from the cbeebies panto. DH on the other hand has been.
Can't moan too much though, as he has gone to work a bit later this morning so he could get the plastic recycling all together and take it to the bank near his work. It was doing my head in as there were bags of it outside the back door and blowing all over and it looked messy, so outside looks better now he has done it for me.
The weather looks ok-ish here today, so as well as kids finishing off their salt dough models, they can get outside for a walk today. Might help me be a bit less crazy.0
