Thanks elysia - apparantly we DID have one, but because we're not planning on going this year, hubby just threw it away without telling me!! lol Fingers crossed we'll get one again next year even though we don't go away with them this time!

mary - Does your OH not fancy moving? Is he worried about losing independance? Might it be worth you both (not yet, but at SOME point if both your healths arn't getting better) visiting a potential place, AND sitting down together and writing both the benefits of moving there and of staying put but making changes to your home.... Must be a huge decision regardless! Hugs! Your pain killers not easing your walking at all yet? Self medicate if I were you. Get the Baileys out... lol :D You'll have some interesting 'makes' after plenty of Baileys!! lol

esmer - oh I'm SO excited about my family diary coming! I'm very jealous!! How long did it take to come?? I wasn't going to buy one, then made the mistake of looking through the grabbit boards and not only ended up buying one, but also bought a Fisher Price Zoo train for DD and some end of season chocolate from Hotel Chocolate!! I can't afford any of it! lol Naughty grabbit boards....

mum2one - You're not off to Tunisia again this year are you?? Dominican Republic isn't it?? I suddenly thought of you when I heard on the news about the Tunisian government falling!! Oh I feel for them - I love Tunisia, such lovely people. And their biggest income is tourism. Bless them.
Court - TRY not to get stressed. You can't do anything about it right now, so sit back, relax and deal with each thing when it comes!

susan - have you checked down the back of the sofa for your mojo?? lol

I'm having a month off. Made so much (jewellery, cakes, envelopes, table favours, Xmas cards...) in december I've lost any inclination to make anything this month. So I've purposely given myself the month off and enjoying sitting watching TV while not doing anything in the evenings. Hopefully in Feb I'll feel up to making things again!

mummyslittleboy - OMG, hope you're feeling better!!! Good to have you back online though!! See if they'll sway the oxygen for gas and air! hehe Not that I enjoyed it TOO much when having DD or anything.... lol

Hello to anyone new, and hugs to everyone who needs them!

Btw, whoever posted the link to a blog with a pattern for chunky fingerless gloves, THANK YOU. I sent the link to my mum and she made me some over the weekend! Picked them up this morning when dropping off DD and I'm typing while wearing them now! They're fab!

    Have a good day all!

We've got the Dom Rep in April, can't wait, Miss Hoodie is debating on what level of dolphin swim she wants to do, shes so hyper, even more so, she's hoping to go with the school in September to an outdoor adventure centre for 3days, just sent the depoist in 2day.

My friend in Hammament (the rep we stay in touch we), she texted me ealier, she was on channel 4 news last night...

We're hoping Tunisia calms down, were due to go July, when we I had Cuba cancelled last yr - the ash cloud the day I was due to go, reinvested into Tunisia, should have been last July - but wasn't allowed to fly coz of my knee, so reinvested for this yr....

Give you all a laugh, the accident I had last yr, slipped on a wet toilet floor, and bashed knee into a wall, the solicitor has asked have I got any photos - no, its not really my hobby photographing toilets!! - but we're attempting an undercover visit to take photos and measurements of the loo. Luckly it was a disabled loo - won't look too weird 2 people going in!!

Been good and ordered a pair of flight socks - got them from Daxon - figured there clothing for the larger lady, so hoping their be the same. We've got premier for Dom Rep, and I get up and walk around.

Decided no more worrying, I've done everything I can re court, I've done it all by the book, and I've kept a civil tounge when I've had to mention him, but Miss Hoodie is admanment she wants nothing to do with him, so hopefully the court officer will believe her. The way I look at it is, he couldn't be bothered to have his telephone interview before the court case, so is he really going to want his new life going through with a fine toothcomb, and he's 2hrs away. So trying relax.

Had a lazy day 2day, started crocheting a blanket, Miss Hoodie and I (with Baileys help!) have cut the xmas cards into christmas tags. We were meant to try and make some make-up bags at weekend, but that went out the window, - lost the sewing machine!!, found it now, that be next weekend.
back to the books 2mor, then next week start my new course, - offically starts 5th Feb, but want to get a head start.

Been thrify - as well as ordering a pr of flight socks, from catalogue - get a free 3piece bag set, so did a 2nd order with mums - mothers day prezzie (she wants knickers!), so ordered another bag, keep fingers crossed there both come.

    Hope everyone ok xx

Miss Hoodie asked me could I tell you Bailey had a bath today, and apparently he loved having the hairdryer being blown on his belly. x

I KNEW you were due to go mum2one! Hopefully by then it'll have calmed down. It was like us with Kenya - we were due to go on honeymoon there in the October, and it was the winter/spring before that they had all the civil unrest there! Fortunately it was all fine when we went. You're a bit of a curse on holidays!! hehe I'm sure the Dom republic will be fab! Tell Miss Hoodie I'm very jealous of her swimming with dolphins!!

And great plan to stop worrying! Like you said, nothing more you can do!

lol @ Bailey loving the hairdryer!

Right, I'm skint. lol Need to raise some more money for holidays this year. Still got Avon on the go, but because it's only friends, family and workmates, the orders are low. So only minimum earnings for me. Made and sold quite a lot of jewellery before Christmas, which was great, but not many opportunities to sell more at the moment. Doing two evenings work in the rest of the month doing Murder Mysteries, which is good money, so that helps. Also going to try to sell my wedding dress on ebay (only cost £100 ish when I bought it - made to measure from china! Bargain!), and the underskirts (bought 3 in the end - long story! lol). But not sure what else I can do. I don't see the point in selling jewellery on ebay - there's loads of that going on there..... Any thoughts ladies (and gent)?

DD has injections this afternoon. She didn't flinch with the last one 4 weeks ago so fingers crossed it'll be the same!

Awww CDS we have jabs here today too :( hope they go well.

Hope all the injured and sick people are doing better (and also a little bit that injury's not catching like pregnancy was a couple of years ago!!)

Just doing stuff with my lovely spreadsheet, I redeemed a BP voucher yesterday which makes me 16.4% neutral on this year, not including Quidco cashback so far :j I'm missing a Secret Sales cashback, but if it doesn't include delivery I only spent 19p so maybe I'm not getting any :rotfl:
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Remember Valentines and Mothersday are next on the list. Could you make some stuff for gifts for those events and sell on ebay? someone was doing scrolls a few years ago on ebay for mothersday, I think there is a market there for stuff, and im sure with your talents you could make something.

I was thinking those cuddle mug thingys :) in red for valentines, pink for mothersday, and fill them for chocolates and wrapped in Cello. Just an idea.
