  • oooooh, can i join too please! I followed you all out of interest from september 2010 onwards and would love to join for this year.

Well so far i have sorted through unwanted gifts, put them in the present box.

Went sales shopping, bagged 10 rolls of wrapping paper for £1 in card factory. Aswell as 4 boxes of cards at 50p each.

Did the rounds in £1 shop, stocked up on some disney wrapping paper reduced to 50p a roll, and baught lots of red tree decorations reduced to 50p a pack for my new colour scheme xmas 2011. Fancied a change!

I also went to a local gift shop, they had lots of bath sets and makeup sets reduced to £1 from £2.50- £3.00. So baught 4 of those and bagged my son a couple of stocking fillers for 5op each from £1 too.

Oh, and i have joined the money making sister thread.

I buy all my birthday cards in advance, store them in a box i got free from cards for all occasions, it had sections for diff events which is handy.

    xx

  • Hi Ladies - Happy New Year to you all!

Ive spent ages reading the thread and catching up with everything. Shattered today as spent all day putting Christmas back in the loft till next year. Took ages - probably as my house resembled Santas Grotto this year! Glad its done, totally declutted my front room so that looks a lot better. Shame all the odd bits have found their way to my bedroom!! Tomorrows job i think!!
Brought all my cards and wrap ready for next year so thats all done now. One less thing to worry about!

Unpacked my BHS order - Some Baileys sets for Mothers day - And a great Top Gear DVD and Book set for my DS who is car and Top Gear Mad!! He will love it! Reduced to £7.50 from £15 so pleased with that.

Had a good sort out of all my birthday cards and wrap. I have one of those boxes too candie_gill. Very useful to keep it tidy but i always forget what i have!! Hopefully i can plan a bit better this year and use up the odd cards i have.

    Txx

Well its five past five, and I haven't slept a wink all night. I'm just catching up with the thread, so I can beat Sarah (she usually posts about now - I hope she has a lie in though).

my insomnia has been fine for months untill DD was ill the week before last, and I didn't sleep at all for the week, (on look out for hi temps as she fits with it) Now i'm sort of in this routine, and I can't fot the life of me get out of it. Now she's better I thought I'd be ok, but between Christmas and new year - i did manage to get a couple of hours a night, but today nothing! Grrr.

Sorry for moaning - grumpy and tired old woman here. LOL

Thanks for info cycling yorkie - I remember it being late - but not April, but I must have - I was 15 then and had a saturday job at woolies.

Which one is Sarah, coz whoeve she is I've beaten her too. mainly because I've been awake all night as well.

I am hoping to stay awake now until i can go to TK Maxx and change my coat - did I tell you I have a coat???? Unfortunately I have to have store credit, and whilst I'm sure I can easily spend £120, it's what I should spend it on.

Well done - we've both beat her today!

OOhhh nice to have some money to spend but I would struggle to choose as well. I usually pick up bits from there, like storage or vases etc, I've never been into designer labels. :(

Weird! I couldn't sleep last night either - took me ages to drop off and I nearly got up at 12.00 as I was wide awake.

Getting up for work is going to be a bit of a struggle on Tuesday!

  • Hi can I join too.
I have also put all my unsuitable gifts into a box, ready for the new year's birthday
  • If anyone has bought next years Christmas cards from M&S, in each pack there is a 50p off coupon for use in their card shop in January. Might come in handy for cards for other occasions :)

  • Good morning to all you other insomniacs, and also to those who are getting up late. It's 9.30 for goodness sake!!!!!

I did actually go to sleep for about an hour or so at about 7.30 and that's probably because working out my annual budget wore me out.
