Hello all :j
Woke up thinking it was Monday.................lol:rotfl: Oh I shall be glad when we get back to normal -whatever that might be.

Susan - I did a box of cards/notelets for MIL last year, complete with book of stamps..........so far I'm not sure whether she's used them or not......ifshe writes to us its normally just on a scrap of paper and I especially left some of the cards as blanks so they could be used for anything. Maybe she's not as impresses with home made stuff as I thought.

So, have to have a real think..........just remember a chaps birthday in February and he's hard enough to buy/make for at the best of times.
Should have kept something back from his christmas stuff...................lol:rotfl:

The free cotton bags are nice, I ordered 3 free ones as Christmas presents. They had a photo of Pip on and the Grannys loved them.

As someone mentioned Easter I thought I ould post the pattern for the Easter chicks again. They are so easy to make but look very nice and I just used leftover wool I had, you can then stuff a chocolate egg up their bums!!

SDC10324.jpg

The pattern is knitted in one piece of garter stitch.
• Cast on 26 sts.
• Knit 28 rows in Garter stitch
• New Row – K2 tog, all across row.
• Break off yarn leaving an end long enough to thread through remaining stitches.
• Pull up remaining 13 stitches tightly and fasten off.
• Stitch with a back seam then thread a running stitch through at this point to form neck.
• Stuff head then pull up thread at neck and fasten off tightly.

• I've been a lurker on this board since Dec 09 but decided it was time to come out of the lurker closet! I don't have a lot of xmas presents to buy for but do have a number of birthdays which fall in Dec including my little boy's (he was 4 on 21st Dec). I started off quite organised due to you lot motivating me but fell off the wagon in December so ended up running about like a maniac at the last minute. Anyway sorry for waffling on - I hope to be more organised for the whole year, not just xmas and would like to be able to give back some of the hints, tips and inspiration you all have given me.

Pipsmum - lovely little chicks (shame I can't knit........well I can but fingers aren't as nimble as they need to be) Maybe I can make a chick or something out of felt ? Oh and when is Easter ? I'll have to check that out -what with a few birthdays cropping up, mums day and easter......panic
No.............I must not get in a flap............lol:rotfl:

spinner -welcome..............my little grandson will be 4 in June so I'll be needing some ideas on what 4 yr olds like/don''t like etc. -that are cheap ! -I'm not mean but just have to be very careful with money

• Hi everyone,

Pipsmum love the chick but i cant knit at all :(

I have DS's 4th birthday coming up in feb I did buy him some bits from the boots sale but then bought a wii yesterday in Asda for £99 as he always loves playing on his sisters but then that causes arguements, so my mum and nan are going to buy him a game each for it and his other nan and aunties i will ask for clothes for him, this means the stuff i bought in the boots sale is going away for xmas :D

I am going to look on vistaprint see if i can get some mothersday presents :D or maybe some fathers day ones.

I got some vouchers for christmas but am really struggling to use them so going to put them away and maybe keep an eye out for presents for next christmas to use them for :D

Hope you all had a good new year xx
