The Husbeast is in charge of his own meds. I'm not missing anything, am I?

Bandage, thermometer and tweezers we have. I'm pretty sure we have a burns dressing somewhere, but I am unaware of the splinter stuff.

    Hello all :j

sugarspun - fingers crossed with the kitchen :T It's all lovely when its done and worth the hassle and waiting I promise. I love mine and now just waiting for painter to to do the walls in the utility room and downstairs loo............put the floor down and put the lampshades up I spend all day covering with fabric.............anything to save a few pence........lol
Cards posted, couple of parcels (oops no, 4 !!!) to go, few more cards need stamps and I'm done. Well, will be when the painter chap puts the decorations up for us. Neither of us are able to do it............oh dear what a sad pair we are............lol
Christmas dinner is going to be roast lamb.........OH says its so expensive it'll be a real treat.
Doesn't look as if son and grandson will be up. His girlfriend does the driving and she'll be working - she's a carer and its all different shifts that no-one wants to do over Christmas.
So we're in for a quiet time............suits us fine. Be the first in many years...........we've always had the kids we've fostered, their mates, our kids and families............oh the bliss of not being entertained or having to do the entertaining.
Spend most of yesterday googling for a chunky long cardigan/coat (MIL sent me the money and insists its to go on something for me, not the house). Found one I liked on the isme site. Tried to pay 3 times and computer froze up...........in the end I switched off and on again, got the phone number and ordered it by phone...........so much easier. Fair wore me out.

Still have pressies to wrap........least they're all upstairs, just sorting them out. Maybe tomorrow ??

You all seem so organised...........don't wear yourselves out:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary, I like the Isme site clothes, I love that coat the gravy woman wears in the add, the red one with the black furry collar. I have been dropping big hints lol.

I have got all Dad's cards posted off this morning, so another job out of the way. I am still waiting for two dvds to come from Amazon for OH but plenty of time for them to come yet.

I am on my last dining chair, cant wait to get them finished now. Need to cover it tomorrow then it will just be gluing the braid on with my new hot glue gun. Hope I can work it alright after all this. Then the Christmas table cloth I made last year can go on and we will be all sorted.

I am just trying to sort out days/eves we can get to see my son and my daughter and their families. They will be separate visits, Son's might not be too bad sorting but Daughter works shifts so will have to be in line with OH's days off. He is on bl@@dy nights next week now which is a pain in the you know where as it means we wont be able to have any visitors all week or it will disturb him in bed. I was looking forward to the Grandchildren popping round too as they will be off school next week.

Got all my goodies from Argos, can't wait till xmas day, brought Miss Hoodie Hello kitty fleece slankets, I've got boring pink one, she wanted it, but it was miles to long!! So while waiting for dad, he'd gone to another shop for me, I thought kill 5 mins have a look in catalogue clearance shop, found pair of trainers for dad, £55, reduced to £9.99 had to wonder the shop while waiting for him, we had the I've got enough trainers, there not leather, so went to put them back, no we must try them on, that was when her saw the price tag, they were the next best thing to buttered bread!. So there going for xmas.

Then discovered poundworld.... made dad go round with the basket!!! it was brilliant, got a few stocking fillers, want to go back next week just to get some sweets and few nick nacks....
So sad very impressed by an airwick airfreshner - stick on unit, refil with a little spray container, we product tested the airfreshner when it first came out, it was brilliant, but refused to pay the original prices, the set was 2 spray units with 2 sprays for £1, then pack of 4 refills £1.

Got away luckly at the dentist, just one small filling, an old one fell out mth ago, never got to ringing, so v plzed, and everything was ok with Miss hoodies teeth.

Got some gd news, the mental health officer rang, he's not takeing Miss Hoodie on offically as that would tar her for life with a black mark, more from the fact we know what the problem is, whats shes going through thanks to the "other lot", but he'll liase for me, the charity that he wanted her referred to, they wouldn't see her as she had never seen her dad, but after his involvement they will see her... but there funding is cut at xmas, if they get new funding in Jan, there see her. That be a brilliant help.

He's told me to contact cafcass, to see whats going on as her last officer now on maternity leave and the original one not allowed to work with Miss hoodie, and apparently they should be supporting us, any probs ring him back!!

As for the school, the "liason officer" at school said miss hoodie a grade student, and basically they didn't want to get involved, which we knew, but again, he's wonderful, he told them that thats completely different from what her teacher said at parents evening, and they will help. So we have an appointment in Jan, thats the earliest they can do!! and bless his heart he's coming to the meeting to make sure that I don't get backed into a corner, the school tried the shes a goveneror lark, and make sure they play fair. Massive relief, and he gave me a lot of advice how to cope with her if she has a mood, and he'll liase with us as long as we need him. I said to him, I wish we could have had 12 months ago, he's done so much in a short time, loooking positive for support for Miss Hoodie, at least we're have safety nets.

    me i'm ok. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Thanks for the list Mum2one and glad things are looking on the up with everything else at home. You had some good bargains too in Argos. We have one of those Airwick things, they smell lovely.

I have one aim today, that is to finish off the chairs and get the dining room sorted out, then I can put some picks up on my blog.

I have finished the chairs and put some pics up on my blog. Glad that is out of the way. Just having a rest now before the Grandchildren turn up. Their childminder has let my daughter down so they will have to come here for a bit.

I have had another Amazon voucher this afternoon from one of my survey sites so I managed to order another few little bits for OH, got him another couple of dvds and a little car vacuum cleaner than plugs in the cigarette lighter bit. That will do for him now except I will get a packet of sweets that he likes when I go up town later in the week.

I have totted up my spreadsheet for the year now I dont have to buy anything else. I am amazed by my totals.

For Birthdays etc for the year - Original cost £475.80 I actually paid £216.26 so saved £259.54

For Christmas - Original cost £972.58 I actually paid £452.53 so saved £520.05

And all of this money was earned doing the surveys and reviews throughout the year along with the other sister thread and I am nearly £1500 up on top of all this so very happy at having another money neutral year.
