the baskets, I'd try charity shops, wilkos, etc, or otherwise, plan B, use a shoe box if you have one, cover with wrapping paper then cello at the end, or get a cereal box, cut the large front panel off and cover the box with wrapping paper, and the front you cut off, just cut slightly cover this with the wrapping paper, and use as a strengthen in the box.

I'd go for the plactic bottles, not just price wise, but get more bottles same price, they both sound fab prezzies. xx

Thanks, been down to Mr t's today and saw that the squeezys were relish, so got her 2 bottles ketchup and jerk bbq sauce and squeezy mango and chilli relish, hope she likes it! the book was £7 from book people so all in i have spent £10 on her which is fab for me! will also chuck in a bs lipgloss, which i got in a glitch.

By the way although BS stuff sounds expensive, everything i got my aunty is glitched BS stuff so all of it was about 25% of rrp, which i am happy about :)

    Hi all

Mum2one, I really feel for Miss Hoodie. I am finding it a bit difficult lately because someone I know is dealing with the court situation from the other end, a grandmother not allowed to see her grandchild (nor is her son the father). They seem very decent people, the wife left the OH and went off with someone else and now won't allow the child to see the father.

She's very upset about the legal stuff and not sure if it was a good idea or not, I told her there are good reasons why some children are kept away from the fathers.

My heart goes out, as know with Miss Hoodie, if we could have her Irish Gran, be amazing, unfortunately shes having to suffer because of what the rest of the family have done.

Hope you don't think being cheeky, but could you suggest that your friend writes to the mum, and maybe explain they miss the grandchild, that they'd keep the arrangement to them, maybe the mum will mellow, even if its a card or letter, photo, that soon open up the line of communication,. Shes a lucky lady to have you as a friend xx

    Morning all

Got a few bits to do today, want to get dinner on and cooked this morning save having to do it later. Need to get on with my chairs too, see if I can finsih off the 5 I have started and then only one left to do. Then I need to sit down and write out Dad's cards. I can do them later on when I get tired though but have to have them ready for tomorrow to post off.

Hope your all having a good weekend xx

    Good morning everyone :)

We are safely home from our trip, still kitchenless  but it is coming this week. There is snow on the ground and I have two large suitcases to unpack, just skimmed through and sending :grouphug: to everyone who needs one, for crusty chickenpox and a special hurrah! for maryop's toilet.

I think it is time to sit down and make a list of Things To Do.

    Hi everyone

This is my 2nd time round as lost the other post.

mum2one - that grandma I know got into trouble with the police for just talking to the child in the street during an accidental meeting. Whatever is going on there is very complicated and nasty.

10 hours wrapping and still more pressies to get. I wonder how many hours you spend all together on preperations for Christmas?

Sugar spun, good luck with all your unpacking, doesn't seem long since you moved and were unpacking.

I've still got mum and dad's pressies, boys small extra ones (seen something interesting in a local gallery) Still not finished with the pressies I need for this week. Special cards to immediate family, care home, family which involve sending cash, and one friend yet to do..

Ms NR - like the hamper idea.

Rufus good luck with the cards and chairs today.

I have finished my Christmas shopping today. Went to town and bought the final present of a pair of pj's, 3 family cards and some large present bags - yippee, its all done! Then bought the Christmas Radio Times and a dessert for Christmas Day.

All thats left to do is write the food shopping list, start the final food gifts that need making and really looking forward to not having to dash around the shops as the big day gets closer and closer!

What's the betting you'll have forgotten something and still end up dashing around? :)

Delievered the first batch of presents, lunch was absolutely yummy, that stuffed didn't even have tea, Miss Hoodie loved it, ended up halfway through her meal (chicken tikka masalla), after asking had got my epi-pen... could she have half my gammon and I can share her dinner!, knew there had to be a catch...... what was the 1st thing did, dipped a chip into the sauce, then split 3 blothes down a white top!! but it was gorgeous.

What we tend to do is just do all cards in one, go, and wrap the presents, mum helped but that hindered part of the time.

Taking Miss Hoodie late ngt shopping to get mum and dads little gift, then Argos tomorrow, thats all my shopping done, ordered mum set of 3 pairs gold creole earrings they were £30, and a few toilettries, won't take long.

    Christmas wise-
Recap medicines changed some of mine around

Get veg etc, and a wreath, the xmas week head to a local market, and make a outing of it

Get turkey joint, we all thought the other had got it!

All sorte, so the week the schools break up and everyones doing headless chic, I'll be relaxed and all sorted! xxx
