elysia thanks for the link. shame the code has expired but I suppose sale AND free p&p is wishful thinking:D
fedupandskint thanks for the recipes. I was looking at the marmalade tins in lakeland today. not sure I could stand the hours of cutting up oranges!

I visited the sales today - and bought some plastic tubs (like chinese take-away ones) as I am refusing to throw leftovers away next year!!! How long is it ok to keep left over meat, mash and vegetables in the fridge??? We don't always want them the day after.
Anyway - I bought DD1 a mirror that I promised her months ago, the plastic tubs, some shampoo because I only have a dribble left in mine - kids!!! Oh and an Xbox and kinect.
Yes I hang my head in shame - we didn't Need it but I have Wanted it and coverted it for months. So tomorrow is going to be a NSD - if at all possible, as I am looking after my friend's children while she goes to work (they heard about the kinect and where I normally would only have her DD I have her DS too lol - they are nice kids so I will have a full but cheerful house tomorrow)
I shall endeavour to use the christmas present my husband bought me - the marble rolling pin. Now what can I put in a pie? MMMMM might not get away with a NSD afterall!
Anyway got a bit sidetracked there - I meant to say right at the top - that I think the sales in the high street are abysmal this year. Boots was messy and the FCUK bags, Strictly sets and such like were just piled on the shelves and looked horrible. WHSmith was too hot and again only tat in the sale. I got fed up tbh and that is something for me to sale while out shopping!
On line is much better - you just can't handle the mechandise can you.Donna

LOL I feel better now. Off to polish halo - I didn't spend anything lol but not for want of trying. Oops. I'm fine thanks Anglea, Everyone has had a laugh at my expense and I feel not quite so embarrased now. Why does it always happen to me? LOL
Cookie Dough and Diddly - don't worry about tomorrow - back on the wagon on New years day!!! OK.
Diddly - we have a wii but even DD want's a kinect - she loves the kinectimals advert.
Fedup - thanks so much. Another silly question though! Do you need to add water, or is it all fruit and sugar like jam?I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Whoops! Forgot you need 2.5L of water for those amounts
There are recipes more detailed on the River Cottage website and nigella's has one too I think. Failing that Delia has one too on her websitefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Thank you guys for not making me feel so bad! lol.
My 8yr old DD wants Kinectimals but as they already have Eyepet on the the PS3 I can't see the need. I got the console for 1 reason - to get us (mainly me) moving. Yes walking is free but in the bad weather its not fun, and watching the kids faces as they leap about is.
I have bought the fitness game for me, so if I get a minute on there tomorrow I shall have a look at that and from 1st Jan hope to be putting in a few hours with my new "trainer" lol. As long as I lost lbs for spending the £££s I will be happy.
Right off to bed now, hubby has already gone up and only 10% left here on the lappy.
See you all in the morning! xxxDonna

Can I join in for next year too?
I am usually organised for Christmas but we had moved to Australia in October, didn't move into new house until November, had to wait for vouchers to arrive (which were late) and by which time kids were on summer holidays (off school until February), so felt quite un-organised for me.
I have already managed to get some wrapping paper, cello wrap, metallic gift tags, curling ribbon, beautiful fabric ribbon all at ridiculously low prices in last couple of days. I have found it to be much more expensive for just about everything over here,so looking forward to getting some bargains when & where I can, through out the year to put away.
My next birthday is my dd2 who will be 11 in March. Usually get her things in the sales,so will be keeping an eye out as I go along.0 -
Good Evening everyone, I leave for a few hours and there are 3 pages to catch up on lol
Welcome to the new people, you will honestly love this thread.
Great bargains ladies!
I had a lovely evening, got home about 9, playing bingoport, having a cuppa, posting tedious amounts of crap on bingoport and catching up on here, is that multitasking or not lol
JulieJim - Thanks for the offer but its ok. Aunt it getting her something else and because I hid it, she has forgotten all about it.
fedupandskint - I got a book from Lakeland, and some jars and lids. So plan to make some jams when i get the book, turns out my dad likes marmaladeWhat was it you bought in lakeland?
Elysia - I love that word FAFFING
Bingoport - 6527
Quidco - 87.50 most of it is awaiting payment.
Toluna 11000 or something.

Hello Mhagster - you are very welcome to join. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfy.
Well done Esmer. That's brilliant Multi tasking. I'm quite good at faffing lately.
Thanks Fedup - I did google a recipe but there was nothing - I will look on the site instead. I forget about River Cottage - is it that Hugh Fearny Whitingstall Wotsit or is it something else entirely?
Diddly - I know you've gone to bed but I'm going to talk to you anyway ( how sad am I? LOL) I bought the Wii game 'Your shape' very very similar to yours. It's still in it's packet at the moment, but I hope to do it everyday too.
Just remembered - if anyone wants to join weight watchers (Oh that'll be me) if you join online (ie not go to class) you pay £29.85 at the moment half price, but what's great is that you get £30 cash back. So they pay you 15p to join, what better incentive is that? You may even lose a bit of weight - no point just signing up for the 15p. hehe.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
