You are doing well with your foody makes Fedup xx

I bought YD a skirt this morning in Primark reduced to £2, will be an extra stocking filler. Also got oH a nice smart work shirt in a CS which looks brand new so I have folded it up nicely, that will do him as extra present too. Cost me £3.

Thank you - I need these :) I'll package my niece and nephews' Christmas stuff this week as soon as the niece's birthday gift is posted. Oh oh and there's a nephew whose birthday is at the start of December.

    Online Ordering

The only thing I still need to order is a cake tin, not MSE at all but it is in the shape of a ring of fir trees and I WANT it. I'm also going to check my Body Shop stash and toss some stuff into my Christmas drawer along with some gift bags in case of emergency ;)

    Christmas Cards

    All done

    Shopping

Bah I had one of these and I think my computer crash lost it. I'll check my USB stick to see if I managed to save it.

    Batteries

    :T:T:T:T:T

    Medications etc

I don't take any regular meds and have loads of ibuprofen/cold meds/Calpol, but I will harass the husbeast ;)

    The Where am I???

Thinking a brunch for friends on the 26th - a Festival of Leftovers :D

That way I am in control with my Body Shop gift bags in case people bring me gifts too.

I think I'm going to make a vanilla cake with my New Cake Tin instead of a Christmas cake. My pudding is already bought and in the cupboard.

Thanks mum2one, hope you're having fun!

    21st – 1st Class Delievery

    Vouchers / Incoming
I have £42 in Luncheon vouchers, £24 in nectar points and £30 in Mr M stamps all to use for the Christmas shop

    Online Ordering
Shouldn't be too many problems there as most things are ordered now

    Christmas Cards
Bought them in the sales last year and have enough stamps too

    Shopping
Shoping nearly done apart from a few orders in Nov
Will build up food shopping in Nov eg cranberries, sausagemeat for stuffing
Stocking fillers - will keep an eye out for any bargains

    Mediciations etc
Plenty in of cold and flu remedies. Shouldn't need anything else

    The Where am I???
    At home and at mums!

    Christmas Cakes
    Baking this weekend and next

    Christmas Puddings
No-one likes these so not buying any and will have a think about a replacement dessert

Doing pretty well preparation wise and not too bad at all.
Made a few notes about things left to bake and make eg cheese biscuits, chocolate and ginger snaps and florentines instead of buying these from the shops. Also trying turkish delight, bottle up sloe gin and apple vodka and maybe a few other things like biscotti and any other nice treats I can wrap up prettily to give. Also will be baking bread and rolls to freeze and soups too to access during Christmas

    Hello all :j

mum2one -thanks for the 'challenge' -have made note of the postal dates -they'll be the most important for me I think as older grandkids will be having cheque with card and two sons will have shoe boxes of 'stuff' plus 'christmas in a box' (or bag -not decided yet.
Got my own personal challenge once the builders have finished -will they ever be ????
Shoe boxes to cover and fill and wrap ready to post
Concoct 'kitchen basket for foster daughter with my decoorative pasta jars, xmas t-towel,herb pot etc.
    Same for friend
Cover gravy tubs !!! -must or I'll never here the last of it from Clare................lol:rotfl:and pop in wrist warmers and hot choc sachet or soup for 'winter warmer tub'

Shopping ? No urgency as its just me and OH so we can have what we want when we want it..........no need for turkey

Precriptions - a must to check and make sure we've both got enough to stock Boots.............lol

Think thats it............cards are already written - oh must do letter to little grandson from Santa
and try and find small scrapbook to do as a keepsake for foster daughters new baby

    That really is it !

Nothing done today as electrician been here all day doing re-wiring of various things so lights on then off then on again...............lol but have started clearing pine dresser and there's a few bits there I can put in a bag for neighbour, other friend and maybe add to sons boxes:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Sorry Clare, I know what doesnt work lol, I tried making YD an advent calendar thingy one year out of felt, made up little pockets and stuck them on a larger piece of felt with UHU glue but after a day or so once they had things in them the pockets fell off. I ended up sewing them on in the end. I suppose PVA might work, best to try it out on a small piece first. In 99p store they had some fabric glue the other day which was in a tube. I used it to stick normal fabrics together and it stuck fast and was strong but it was a horrid yellow colour and it showed through the fabrics after wards so was no good. Might be ok for dark colours and might not show through felt.

Thanks rufus - I'm going to sew a lot of it, but would like some glue to keep things in place first. Plus I'm a little worried about some of the smaller pieces being sewn..... I was thinking PVA might work.....

    Thanks!

    Hello all :j

Clare - if you're doing any sewing watch where you put the glue. I got in a right pickle doing my fabric/felt decorations -glued a piece of ribbon across one of the hearts and when it came to stitching the heart together I had a job getting the needle through the glue ! I just put glue dots to hold things in place as it was I'd got handy at the time. PVA would be better if you want it to stick firm though.

No gravy tubs done today:( Not easy when the kitchens still 'work in progress' -chap been putting tiles up and stainless steel splash back then cleaner came so the day had gone..............got another wrist warmer done though.............lol:)
Hoping tiles done tomorrow then I can get my pasting board out, cover some shoe boxes and gravy tubs.............least thats the plan........lol:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Feeling better today so have put some fruit to soak ready to go into a Christmas cake tomorrow. Felt quite christmassy smelling this and it made me smile!

This weekend I will be having a study free weekend for the last time until Christmas (boo!) but will be putting it to good use by baking Christmas cakes, making damson jam, pickling the rest, pickling pears, finishing off the apple vodka and planting some bulbs ready for christmas presents. I'll order my bath salts stuff too then wait for these to arrive ready to mix and pop into the present jars.
