I'm getting my husband back today :D they think they know what is wrong and are going to start treating it, so hopefully this is a turning point and things will start improving :)

My toddler is a cranky twisty mess this morning - we've been up for two hours already and most of it has been spent whinging. I think she's a bit ill, so post-breakfast snack will be some Calpol and a lot of cuddles.

While the husbeast has been in the hospital I've done loads of householdy stuff that I can't do when he's underfoot, so it's all very clean and tidy :D let's see how long it lasts once he gets home.

I organised my gift cupboard yesterday too, all the 2011 birthday and Christmas stuff is now within easy reach and 2012 stuff all up out of the way. And I looked at a house on Wednesday that was simply gorgeous so we're having a second look tomorrow and hopefully she will love us and we can have it.

Sugarspun - glad OH is coming home and good luck with the house xx

Fedup - well done on all your bargains, you did really well there xx

I was finishing off some bags yesterday for my shop. Think I might make some of them for presents for the nieces next year now I am getting a bit better at making them.

I had a sort out of my stash of presents yesterday, got OH's and GD's down and wrapped them up ready for beginning of August. Next one after will be Dad's and thats ready to wrap.

    Hello all :j

sugarspun - sorry - forgot to wish your OH well........got so wrapped up in my own 'stuff'

Rang hospital last night and actually found a nurse who talks !!!So now I know the bag affair is a temporary measure to diarrohea -being tested to see whats causing it -results in 24-36 hours.
Rang this morning (never seem to be off the blessed phone!) and he had good nights sleep but evverything else much the same as yesterday.
Passed doctors name onto GP -mind you there's several of them it seems so chance are if he rings that particular one won't be o duty.
Going in tonight so who knows......might find out something (more likely not)

I've got some 'no wash shampoo' I got when I came out of hospital so I'll take that in today so he can have his hair washed without any fuss. Don't know what else to take him. He can eat what he likes more or less so might take some ''snacks'' in.

You all seem so organised with your pressie buying..........can see me having last minute panic:eek:

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hope Mr Mary continues to plod in the direction of improvement and don't worry about Christmas, if it all gets too late then a bunch pf Freecycle jars and a couple of days of chutney making will cover everyone :)

Mary and Sugarspun - I hope all is well for you and your OH and hubby and life starts to settle down a bit. Mary, don't worry about presents yet - its early and chutney making can wait a long long time from now. Mind you, you could do it and clear you mind a little with chopping and cooking and have a bit of you time.

I have the afternoon off work and am planning to start some plum jam making in a little bit. Hoping I have enough sugar in otherwise its a trip to Mr S and will need to stay away from the sale section!

fedup - I'm c** at cooking especially anything like chutney!! Got some tubs kicking around around -some left from last year I can re-use, got red whisk to fill with chocs and put ''we whisk you a merry christmas'' tag on, intend to cover box and fill it with 'new year resolutions' , scarf and wrist warmers to do for one son, and saw oblong frame on amazon for £5.99 with cutout FAMILY for putting photos in that might do for other son as he's the one with the kids.
Was actually in the mood to do some knitting lunchtime then one of my neighbours popped round with the milk I'd left out just to check I was ok. She stayed a while which was nice.......now it's time to sort out my dinner a bit earlier than usual so I can get ready for ''visit''.
Day seems to have gone and nothing done !

Another little present buying session of some half price seeds to go into the seed tin when I buy it! Lettuce, cucumber and courgette seeds for £2.24. Also picked up some solar lights for me at 70% off for £7.49 instead of £24.99. If they have some left next week I'll get another set!

The garden hamper is looking good now and I'm wondering what I can put it in. I used a trug last year - ah ha - maybe a basket would do the trick. Let me see if I can find one nice and cheap and decent quality!
