Well I found a little brush, thought I had one lying around, just need to wait until grout is dry and I can paint over it. Feel a bit better now, was panicking this morning lol.

For anyone with hayfever I've just seen this on the grabbit. Was £39.99 in LLoyds chemist, reduced to half price online but only £4 instore. For that price, it's worth a try to see if it helps you.

    Hello all :j
Think I've caught up on the sleep I lost Monday night........went to bed last night at 10pm and woke up about 8am..........left tele on all night...........only meant to watch half hour programme.........lol:)
Nurse said last night that doctor would phone this morning about OH.........didn't phone so I rang the ward.........OH had appendix out (I even queried were they sure it was his appendix =after A & E doctor said something different I've got this awful mistrust in anything to do with this hospital) He was sitting up in bed but still in pain..........well knew he would be what with operation and his back problem as well. Going to see him tonight with neighbour so I'll know more then ......maybe.

Gardener chaps been up and filled the other bed he made, started on the herb bed then it rained but he's nearly there with it. Tomorrow he's planting OH's veg for him...........when OH comes home he'll think Ground Force have been...............lol:rotfl:

Looked at baby jacket I'm knitting and sure it'll be too small......think I'll have to use bigger needles or something, unless I can change what I've done into a baby hat.

Lampshade to paint tomorrow.........contemplating doing some flowers on it but not sure..........see how the mood takes me I think.

As for hospital complaint..........well the ICAS lady phoned this morning and as I've had a reply from the hospital and they've 'closed the file' they can't do anything except help me write a letter to the ombudsman...........seems thats my next step..........oh lor....why are these things made so difficult:(

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Gosh Mary - it all happening, how do you cope. Hope OH gets better soon .

Rufus - thats the type of thing that happens to me

Had a good and bad day monday - good bit lost 5lb, bad bit went for heart scan, nurse all sixes and sevens, put the needle in with the tube thing attached and dropped a bit, resulted in me pumping blood over her, my legs, the bed, the floor, it looked like she had been trying to kill me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. She did actually say hope the doc dont come in as he`ll think I cut a limb off....it was a mess

    hi pixie fairy dust ....welcome

    Morning all

Had a bit of a disaster morning. Youngest daughter is doing a mosaic project for her final art piece for school exams. She had a load of pottery that needed breaking up into little pieces so I got up early, waited till OH went to work and then set to it with a hammer. Only trouble was I forgot that the work top in the kitchen was tiles underneath and when I finished we found a load of the tiles smashed. Luckily I had some spares left in the shed so had to go and dig them out, not easy when it was full of junk and the tiles had to be right at the back in the corner.

Didnt have any tile cement so have stuck them down with grout and hope they dont move about when its dry. Our grout we used before was a dark grey and its been painted over with a brown paint over the years and all I had was white grout so have made it all look ok and left it to dry. Found a small pot of brown paint in cellar to use later just need to find a tiny brush.

Hopefully OH wont notice when he gets in tonight, he would have had a fit if hed seen it earlier lol. He is so house proud and we have his mum coming tomorrow for the weekend so everything has to be perfect.

sorry but I thought this was hilarious!! I know probably not at the time but hoping you see the funny side now.

Mary sorry to hear about hubby. You guys need a bit of a break on the bad luck stakes don't you.

    Take care all

Stepmum - to be honest I thought it was hilarious too, so did youngest daughter. Not sure I would have done if I hadnt had some spare tiles as they were expensive ones. extra strong so they dont scratch if cutting on the work surface. I doubt I would be able to get any more of them now as bought them years ago. Will teach me for trying to cut corners and smash her stuff up indoors instead of going out in the garden and doing it on the concrete.

The tiles came out well in the end, managed to paint the grout and to be honest it looks better out there than it did before as one of the tiles had a slight crack in the front where someone dropped a bottle of sauce on it once from the cupboard above. No doubt he will notice that the crack is missing next time he is out there cleaning (I am sure he has OCD as spends all his days off cleaning the house from top to bottom even if it doesnt need doing) but thought I would just say I decided to replace the craked tile and leave it at that.

I am going to meet up with my friend this afternoon for a chat which will be a nice break as been run off my feet the last few days what with one thing or another, been trying to sort out my shop on Folksy, been putting it off for so long now but Elysia gave us a kick with this months challenge on other thread so went for it. Some pics on my blog of some of my bits and a link. Not that sure how to promote it apart from just telling everyone about it but I have made up a new face book account with links on it just for the shop so if anyone fancies adding me and posting a link on theirs would you pm me please? Never know your luck.

Hope I dont get into trouble for posting that. Let me know if you think I might and I will delete it, Rufus xx
