weird - Have just had reheated chilli from last night that was left in the pan as no room in the fridge. Make sure it is really boiling for at least 5 minutes to kill any nasties (Think "re-cooked" not just "re-heated") should be fine.;)

I have tried searching the Sainsbury's webite for the 'Feed your family for a fiver' Spicy Chilli but I can't find it! In the 'Feed your family for a fiver' section - it only has a few new recipes..... Is it just me or are they gone?

Would be really grateful to anyone who could point me in the right direction. I am looking for the recipe that included the Kidney Beans in a chilli sauce. A friend said it was easy, cheap, and yummy - exactly what I'm looking for!!

    Thanks in advance!

  • I have just had a chilli and used an onion, tin of chopped tomatoes and kidney beans with a packet chilli mix. All thrown over a jacket potato sprinkled with cheese
  • i dont like the idea of the choped tomatoes as i dont like them do you think i could substitute them for puree??? and a little beef stock maybe

Hi destiny - we don't like peppers or onions either. I've been using the 'feed your family for a fiver' recipe (as listed above your post). It's brilliant and so easy! If you're not too keen on big bits of tomato (I am the same) - buy a few tins of the finely chopped ones. Providing you let the chilli simmer for a while (add a bit of boiled water if it starts to go dry) - the tomatoes will reduce down to nothing anyway! I also add a bit of the Schwartz hot chilli seasoning, as I do like mine quite spicy.

    Good luck! Hope this helps!
