See my other thread - even trees that don't look as if they are super-reduced might go through at £3

We got the 8ft Dewdrop tree pre-lit in Chichester this morning around 10am. It was the last one left £200 down to £100. Quite a lot of 6ft trees reduced to £49.99. The guy came back and told us that the 6ft trees were still £49 according to the till but the £200 tree was £10. And then at the checkout, we were offered 3 years cover for £2.99. So if any of the lights stop working, they will just replace the tree. Bargain!

Wife grabbed one of these earlier - green with white tips. Artificial but doesn't look too bad.

Gone back to get 2 black ones the same size, also £3 - might be useful.

    £419.97 of tree for £9.

You may need to get these scanned at till as the discounted price was not advertised in our Homebase but all barcode discounts get sent down the line automatically so should be in all Homebases in-store. ;)

Thank you. What a bargain. Got green mixed tip one for £3. Had reserved it last week at what i thought was bargain price of £25 but snow stopped me collecting it. Also got my mum Geneva 6ft one that is pre-lit for £3. Her tree lights stopped working and she wasn't able to get another set cos of snow. Lots of geneva 6Ft pre-lit in Homebase, Newtonabbey nr Belfast at 1pm today if anyone interested.

A few shabby looking ones for £3 in stevenage - we already got a 7ft pre-lit a few years ago for £5.50 so will carry on with that. I did think I might want some for the garden but then I have to get lights as well.

I bought 3 rope lights for £10 each but actually not sure where I am going to put them so I am going to take them back.

Also bought loads of 50p/£1 bauble pack (white, silver and pink) as they were reduced but actually have nothing to do with them - I freecycled a load a few weeks back and now I am back to square 1.... Also got some plastic storage boxes for 20p each and some dog toys for £1 each.

Would have been more interested in the lights but I did think want to pay £15 for 180 or 240 lights so did not bother with those.

picked up a 8ft black trre in eastbourne homebase reduced from £200 to £5.00 well happy they have alot of 6ft green from £139.00 to £3.00 still in store.
  • Managed to get one of the snowy 7' ones down from £200 originally (would never be worth anything like that) for £10. Last one so really pleased.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I've just ordered one on-line. 7ft for £20 along with some LED lights. Can't be bothered next year chopping a real one down as I'll have my hands full with a new baby. I rang my local store and they had nothing above 6ft and I really prefer taller the better.

    Thanks OP.
