honeyandnoahsmummy thanks for that. I really wanted to get the 6ft one so it's a shame they haven't got any of those left. Not sure if it's worth trekking down there now.

I got two trees at this time last year in Homebase (artificial, but decent) for 99p! Really tall ones. I have them up this year and they are great. Easy to put up too. That was Cambridge Homebase.

  • Only ones left in my local store are still £49.99 (half price) but the sales assistant said to come back xmas eve and they are likely to be much cheaper. Fingers crossed as we really need a new tree!

Chelmsford Homebase didn't have any of the expensive trees. Lots of the cheaper type, but these didn't look anything special IMO.

Just got 2 of the pre lit Geneva Fir 6ft! £3 each bargain, never would have paid full price, but for that price i'm really happy thanks! Also got some decorations, some only half price or a £1 off, some reduced to 50p from £3.
  • I got a tree in a bag complete with all decorations and lights for £1 this morning - was the last one left (Black one)

They still had lots of bigger trees though - well.... maybe 12 or so

Got an 8ft one reduced from £200 to £5. Somehow I doubt it was worth £200 but £5 is a bargain - especially as I have tall ceilings. Thanks OP.

Went to homebase with dh on our way back from town, we searched the store and found a pile of 3ft, 5ft and one 8ft tree priced 200 to 100 after 5 mins of me insisting dh should drag it to till and check the price, him saying mmm I doubt it its probably 50 quid we took it and it scanned at 5 pound! Woop :)
