Lionheartedgirl - yes Tevas are around, and they are much nicer now than they used to be, much less clunky. I've got my eye on these for payday http://www.amazon.co.uk/Teva-Womens-Kayenta-Sandal-6310/dp/B0017LGPQ4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1307895235&sr=8-4

I love them as they're so comfy and good for your feet and now they are subtle enough to wear to the office as well.

Probably still not quite Shoe Gal's thing though :D

  • :rotfl: ShoeGal in my defence, when I bought mine, I was recovering from a major ankle operation after a rock climbing accident (multiple fractures, plates and screws, yuk!) and was working in a shop, on crutches  so needed something comfortable while still being reasonably attractive. they had pretty suns, moons and stars on which was something compared to some of the other ones at the time! and I was back in 5 inch heels as soon as I could physically get my dodgy foot in them :D

I wear them if I am on my feet a lot with no opportunity to sit down, and if it doesn't matter - normally gardening or going to race meetings where my feet are pretty much hidden.

Now they have died, and I mean really died, I will hunt for a replacement :) and the ones I have seen now you have said they are still going look quite promising really :rotfl:

sorry for thread hijack Souk :o

I go away to work for the day and this is what happens!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Girls, those are the sort of shoes you wear after surgery :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Thanks but no!!! One of my girls has a bad foot just now and she's wearing croc type things. She also works in A and E and I can imagine her wearing these there too as there the sort of thing you wouldn't mind getting intestines on. I have informed her that they have to go when the foots better. I dont expect heels (though I wear them every day) but even pumps would be better than these things. They know my thoughts on dress standards and we're getting there but goodness, its been hard work.

LHG I dont want to link to the frock as I've got it from work and it might give me away! Its lovely though, chocolate satin and just above the knee. Well it will be when I've had it shortened!

Away to make dinner. Back later X

  • no probs, the description is enough and sounds just lovely :j

I never used to wear a lot of brown but I have bought a couple of things this year for harping in and have really missed a trick over the years :D especially daft as I have brown hair :rotfl:

I don't think I could do crocs but as you say, I can understand they have their place :D

:rotfl: I actually completely agree about crocs - I think they're utterly revolting. There aren't many things I feel driven to have an opinion about other people's clothes but eeuw, bulbous, sweaty, plastic, colours only usually seen on kids TV presenters...

I am clearly way out of my league here as the only way I'd manage in 5 inch heels is if carried :D

I live in ballet pumps at work and skater trainers out of it.

I own a couple of fabulous pairs of heels but they hide in the wardrobe, I'm a flatties girl at heart :o
