MMm lionhearted, I know which camp I'm in. Never grew up with pets so just not for me, too restrictive but each to their own. Elantan, it's not boring...just no for me. Watching TOWIE...love it X

I like towns as opposed to big cities. I loved Chelmsford, not a massive place but enough variety :)

I'm a complete country mouse! I've always lived in the country but I can see the advantages to living in a city and I do like visiting but I love going home too! AND I'm a farmers daughter so grew up bottle rearing lambs and calves! I LOVE pretty much all animals (except spiders!) and my dream would be to run an animal sanctury specially dogs, horses, donkeys and goats!

Also LOVE driving and couldn't imagine life without my car!

Funny how people can be so different

Ah Mags I've tried and I just canny get the driving thing. The truth is....I dont want to drive, carp at it and nowhere to park where I am. I just need to persuade them to stay put in their old age!!!

Don't rule it out completely, most people find driving very difficult at the start, I certainly did but it's a useful skill to have. Perhaps in a year or two you will rent somewhere that has parking space and you could try again then.

Cars are much more essential in the country. The way my life is spread between city/country suits me perfectly. Although I have to say the best times I've ever had have been out the country in places which would be perceived to be the "middle of nowhere". My friends are mostly country based, although not farmers.

Lol at Mags, tried here and in Cyprus, not for me love but again each to their own. If I HAD to do it for work I'd think about it but not to drive to the country as what the chuff would I do when I got there?! (Confused smiley) And dont all start saying walks and all that, I mean stuff that I'd actually like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You know how I feel about all this. My mate invited me to his 30th on his parents farm! camping! I said no and we had a night out here instead. No offence taken. My other mate is 46, unmarried, uber glam and mad for the botox he never even asked her as he knew she'd say no.

Anyway, enough of this nonsense, what is this Old Style? Where you get chased with forks for not keeping hens and the like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had a lovley day today. Was off work so I:
    Had a haircut
Bought some mussels and smoked haddock from the local fishman
Bought some shoes from primarni. Would be easier to get size 9 wide than my size 3's for some reason
Went to the library and got a couple of books
Sat on the terrace out the back for a few hours with one of the gays eating sweets and drinking cider and reading Nigella aloud to each other. :j
Made Mussels in cider with garlicky foccacia followed by smoked haddock and peas for tea
Cleaned and watched carp on telly. :D

Grand! Out with workmates tomorrow after work (yes Im working the wedding!) and going to a dry place so bought booze to have in the shop while we get changed before we go out. Also bought a couple of bottles of Bucks Fizz to have before we open. Not sure how busy we'll be and not bothered about working it, just want to see the frocks!

Paid some pig coins into my June fund today and the tcb money hit my account so hoping to get to work early tomorrow to try some clothes on and maybe buy a few bits.

  • yum yum mussels! I had some fab ones from my farm shop last weekend (oops there i go again about the countrrrreeee side again! whoops! :rotfl:)

I am with you on the size 3s! New Look is the same, any size you like as long as it's not blinking size 3!

the car thing - I got my bike licence as soon as I could but didn't learn to drive a car until I found out I had to leave Manchester. When we lived there we had no need for one whatsoever, so we didn't :) Couldn't imagine life down here with no car though, public transport is non-existent! for me the bike is essential, the car is a necessary evil. Essential for bulky musical instruments though :(

can't wait to see the frocks tomorrow! :j :j

Hi - I'm with you on the country thing. While I sort of like the idea in principle I KNOW that I wouldn't be able to do it. I do drive, but here, even though its technically the suburbs, I can walk down the road, and get a bus or a train, never more than a 15 minute wait, even on Sundays. Lots of shops in walking distance. I would love to live nearer the city centre, in a flat near the river. Bliss!
