    Hiya lovely,

the last 2 pages of city vs country makes for very interesting reading.

I'm a bit in 2 minds myself. I spent my teens & early 20s living in a lively city environment & just loved it. I now live in a small town environment which suits me perfectly at the moment although I did find it a bit quiet when I first moved here - I have lush greenery out the back & a sense of calm & fresh air, but am only 10 mintues walk to train station & London is but 30 minutes away.

I think the air quality, overcrowded public transport & people/germ overdose would put me off living right in a city centre now & I definitely need some outdoor space that's just mine, roof terrace, paved area or balcony considered.

A mews house would be perfect for me :D

But as I get older, I think I want to move closer to town rather than further away. I'd hate to be reliant n public transport & do like to have all amentities close by within walking distance.

I'd never considered a silver fox as a potential, & you're a lot younger than me ... maybe I should cast my net a bit further ;)

    Enjoy your weekend
    xx

I did wonder about this too - if I couldn't do the garden and walk etc then that would change the balance a bit. I think when I am old I want a view of green that somebody else has to maintain, easier transport and a library lol. So don't worry Souk, you might find that everyone else moves back to town and you can still cause mayhem in your old age :D

    Hi all,

Well worked on Friday and twas very busy then went out with the girls from work for drinks and a delish Indian meal. Bit hungover yesterday and work was busy again so came home and had a takeaway, watched the wedding on iplayer and was in bed for 10.30pm! It's not rock n roll but I needed it. :D

Thought that the wedding was beautiful and LOVED the dress. Mr McQueen would have been so proud, as would Wills mum had they been around to see it :(

    Money now:

It's not great. Spent a good bit since I got paid so I'm on to week 2's £60 spends already as of today and this has now to last til the 12th. :rotfl:Oh and I owe my clothes budget £13 as well.

However I will have an NSD today as while I will pay for my train to mums today, I always get this cash back from her so it doesn't count. Also I dont have any big nights out planned between now and then so we'll just have to see what crops up.

I tried a new dress on at work yesterday on lunch and it's lovely so I'm going to buy it on Tuesday with some clothes money. I'll keep the rest til the rest of the new seasons stock comes in. It's meant to be this week but we'll see. I'm also hoping to buy the dress for my friends wedding this week and I have cash in the bank for this.

Needless to say I couldn't start PADding during the whole internet malarkey so have decided to abandon that idea just now. Am keeping the grocery spend down and also hoping for some NSD's this month to keep my spends tight.

Beautiful day so been for a jog in the park and am now cleaning before heading down to Mum and Dads. My friend is coming down tomorrow to join us for lunch and then it's back to work on Tuesday. Short week this week as I have Monday, Wednesday, Friday off and am working the weekend.

I tried a dress on today - well I say tried, I couldn't get it fastened. Tried the next size up and it was HUGE!!! So disappointed as I really liked it, and I don't normally do frocks. I've never met you, but I think of you every time I go shopping, and it does make me think twice.

Well readers, Mum didn't give me my train fare...but she did give me £100 for holiday clothes and toiletries and something new for work. :j:j:j

We had a lovely few days. My friend came down for lunch yesterday and we sat in the garden having beers after. It was grand.

Worked today but off tomorrow so going to go to Primarni early to get my stuff and then will move whats left into my clothes budget so I can get some work stuff. I bought one dress today and am waiting on new stock to get something else.

I bought some flip flops last week so this will cover those too.

This is such a nice treat so will make a list before I go as I have some summer stuff from my days travelling and just need to top it up. I'll keep you posted on what I buy.

    Other money stuff:
Purse: £44 (to last til the 12th:rotfl:)
Wedding Fund: £17.75 left as spent £32.25 today on my dress.
    Groceries: £26.13 left
    Holiday clothes/clothes: £100 :j

Loving it. Watching carp on telly just now and off to my (ironed) bed soon X
