Thanks ladies and KC of course you are right, just hate feeling down and moaning when so many are worse off.

Feel much cheerier today. Went to Primark and bought some new jammies for £6 and tights for £2.50 and also spent £8.50 on a Chinese tonight. :jTwas lovely.

Then had a nice bath which I fell asleep in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It's all rock n roll here. Got out and have shaved legs and painted toenails for tomorrow. I only met my friends mum once and that was in a sequinned frock so the least I can do tomorrow is be presentable. :(

    Money time:
Bank £9.36 (The last of the cf after the Primark spend)
    Purse: £10.60
    Grocery Money: £5.80 left.

Just remembered a post where I hoped to have £70 left at this stage in the month :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It's been one of those months!!! XXX

Sorry I missed your down-ness sweetheart & how sad for your friend :(.

Not even the truly F Fabulous can be upbeat all the time so dont knock yourself down about it.

Money can be saved again & pounds can be lost again too ( although someone should tell that to mine, which are stubbornly refusing to shift ).

I found it harder to try to eat less when I had less money to spend on food; almost as though the deprivation created more desire for it. I'm stuffing the cupboards with food now to see if it has the opposite effect :rotfl:.

Hope the day isnt too harrowing & try to enjoy the time with your family

Thanks all. Was horrid going on my own but my friend was chuffed I was there and I'm seeing her later in the week if she's up for it.

Left there and my friend picked me up and took me to our other friends for dinner. We spent a fiver each and had mussels, scallops and homemade sushi. She also treated us to some half price champers from Morrisons too :j:j:jTwas grand and her wee boy was great fun as always.

Came home yesterday after much wine and then went to Mum and Dad's for more food and some treats!

Talked to Mum about feeling down and she has reassured me that something will come up after this job finishes as it always does and just to enjoy it. She's right and I'm usually really good at treating it all as an adventure but have struggled this week. Back to normal now though.

Mummy sent me off with some tuna stuff, salmon pieces, some cold meat and some fancy M and S pie which costs a fortune! She also bought me new PJ's and a new throw and cushions for the flat, as well as taking me to Wilkos for some kitchen bits and bobs. Flat looks great.

After quite a while with no men on the scene the hot doc from last year has got in touch out of the blue and meant to be meeting a blast from the past tomorrow too but wont hold my breath for that one! Beautiful guy but SOOOO unreliable. If he turns up, he turns up. Also supposed to have a date with a guy from the navy on Wed and maybe a daytime date on Thursday. They really are like buses! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
