I know Shoesy. Hopefully my ebay money will be in the account tomorrow! ;)

In tonight but ended up playing out last night with the gays. Such fun and they were paid yesterday so one of them treated me to drinks and food :j and I have to treat him the next time we go out.

    Money situation is now:
    Bank £1.36 :rotfl:
    Purse: £8.55
    Grocery Budget: £3.00 left

And waiting for the £24 ebay money to hit my account tomorrow or Friday. I have food which should last til Monday (payday) and am working through apart from tomorrow so all is well with the world!

Hi elantan, was thinking about you today. Hope you're okay.

This months food will come in at under £50. Have had a bit of help from Mum this month though as she bought me about £20 worth of stuff in Asda. Usually manage with about £60 a month. Doing an A*da online delivery next month £25 food and £12.65 for household/toiletries which includes a huge supply of washing powder and some halogen bulbs for my kitchen. The rest of my food will be from the fishman and Aldi. XXX

That's really exceptionally great .... We spent over £200 in meals out last month ( kinda needed it with everything that has been going on though) and another £300 in shopping and that's just for us two .... I am starting again though and have been writing everything down now and have given us £40 for meals out not a penny more this month ( so far were up to £20 and that's from the 15th )

Will deff need to keep on top of those spends they are ourbiggest waste of money

Keep an eye on Groupon and KGBDeals - I eat out using vouchers I buy there a lot :D

Elantan, sometimes we all need to cut ourselves a bit of slack with our money and if it's helped your marriage, then good for you.

My groceries are only for me mind, and I DO sometimes get bored eating the same stuff. Been much better at going to my fish man and eating different stuff since the diet, so that's good. Would use my freezer a lot more for stocking up if it was better, but it sometimes freezes and sometimes not so much!!!!

Ebay money is in the bank so now have £25.36 in my account. Might be seeing a friend for coffee later though so I'll see how I go with that!

:beer:Wasn't sure which was most appropriate, but I bow to your grocery wisdom oh great one! I thought I was doing well with my budget until I saw yours!

I have a system where I have a budget, do my list, work out how much it will cost, and then play a game with myself to try and shave some off it. I generally average £40 - £50 a week, for 2 of us.
Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

    Hi Souk,

great news on ebay money & I reckon your grocery budget is the 8th wonder of the world :D

Gilligan - your budget is about the same as mine for 2 ( + cat) so we cant both be wrong ;)

I'm going to go back to weekly shop as of next week ( Souk's suggestion) & I'm going to have a go at your 'game'. If I think in terms of the week only & dont get seduced by offers I shoud be able to cut down a bit too.
