rs65 thanks for reply, I see where your coming from.
I am saving £39 over the year .
But in light of what has been reported here and the difficulty I'm having taking out the policy i will probably go elsewhere.0 -

RSA e choice was the cheapest quote on Go Compare. I decided to go with them. After inputting my details and using debit card to pay for the insurance, their website popped up with a message saying "SORRY - WE ARE EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH OUR WEBSITE - PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER". There was no acknowledgement of the transaction going through. Several hours later I repeated the process and this time their website acknowledged the transaction. "GREAT" I thought. The following day, I noticed on my online banking that the original attempt had been successful after all and I had been charged TWICE! I was horrified to see I was £611 out of pocket and as a result left overdrawn right before Xmas. I rang them to try and resolve this and was told "OH WELL I CANT SEE IT ON OUR SYSTEM". I remained calm and agreed to a call back the following day from them. This came and I was informed that the money would be put back into my account. Eight days later I am still waiting for the money to be returned. I have called them back again and they have again promised 3-5 working days. I am still waiting. Up to now this has been a very bad experience. I have also had problems logging into their website several times and received the message SORRY - WE ARE EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH OUR WEBSITE - PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER". This is very very poor for an online car insurance company. I am very worried now and feel I am going to have to fight to get the money back that is owed to me and that was overpaid due to their problematic website...
our experience was not quite so expensive but frustrating. after finding a quote through a comparison site we tried to buy the insurance but could not complete as checkout took us back to the quotation page. emails did not get any response so we phoned and were told to get a quote independent of the comparison site as this was affecting their site. will give this a go !0 -
Is any saving really worth persevering with with this company?digital0

Interesting thread. Just got a quote from moneysupermarket & the Echoice price beat the nearest from Privilege by £56. Seems too good to be true & after reading this thread it would appear so.
Think I may give them a miss.
However, I have been with Privilege previously & dumped them last time when the renewal quote they sent me was higher than those I got from comparison sites with them for the same cover! I phoned them to cancel & effectively told them they were taking the pish & I would go elsewhere.Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.0 -
My son has been driving his car for a month after insuring through echoice via moneysuparket.com. The company has taken the deposit out of his account but he is unable to access any documents as he has not been sent a confirmation email. Today he contacted the company via an online chat only to be told that his policy does not exist. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!0

HI
I've been having similar problems with echoice - I wanted to see my renewal details but everytime I tried, for over 2 weeks, I got the same message - problem with website...we're trying to fix it... try again later.... Despite having my log in details verified.
I have had to phone them using an expensive number to get details of my renewal. I'm not renewing with them so have requested proof of no claims bonus, but of course, no sign of it through the post! Wonder how many more expensive calls it will take before that appears.
Oh, and when I told them the website was down, I was very firmly told 'the website is fine' - no apologies, no 'we'll look into it', no advice to correct it. Not much use having an online insurance service if its never online.
Over all, a bad experience . Don't use.0
