I received a parcel from Amazon today delivered by Royal Mail. It was a week late, but I am so relieved to have received it before christmas.

I am still waiting for quite a few items. Amazon, lakeland limited etc None presents but it would be nice to have them in

I am not getting anxious because I always order via a cc so know I have insurance

Sorry to be dim what is 'cc'? What does it insure you for? Delivery by Xmas? Sorry! :o
  • I ordered 7 packages on 7th December . 4 arrived as normal but no sign of the other 3. Amazon response was that the weather was causing delivery problems - but our local weather has been OK.
Sounded like a standard reply . Probably the last time I use Amazon after several years of regular use.

I have three... Two dvds, one of which is the only thing my oh has asked for, and was due for delivery by 16th Dec. I paid extra for 1st class delivery on the other dvd but doesn't seem to make any difference, it's still not here! The other is a tripod from DealExtreme which was dispatched on 22nd Nov  they are refusing to refund that one so I have started a paypal dispute.

The worst thing is our Royal Mail delivery office seems to be letting parcels pile up before delivering. I was waiting for ten parcels last week, darent leave the house incase I missed any. All ten turned up together at the weekend.

Hope everyone who is waiting on parcels gets them in time... stupid snow!

I have been using Amazon for about six years, and even though I had to wait a week longer for my parcel, I would have no hesitation in using Amazon again. As far as I am concerned it was a delay through Royal Mail that held up my order.

My issue with Amazon is their lack of tracking if they send it by royal mail. I ordered quite a high value item, that was dispatched but has no tracking. It hasnt arrived at our sorting office, Amazon have no way of tracing it and have told me that it is "impossible" to send out another one now.

Impossible is not a word I comprehend, everything is possible if there is a will but apparently the computer system randomly allocates couriers although suprisingly it seems to "randomly" allocate high value goods to a non trackable method. So the books I ordered have gone out with citilink (because they are not expensive and can be tracked )

Spoke to my local sorting office today just to check it hasnt gone out and been returned by a non local postie - their comment was "Oh Amazon - we have got loads just coming through for them now, its a nightmare!" RM is doing its bit as sorting offices are working through the night to get it shifted but you have to wonder if it went out on the day it was supposed to!

Seriously unimpressed with their customer service today........

I've got 2 things to come from Amazon...both have apparently been dispatched but no tracking info on either of them. One is directly from Amazon...the other more expensive item is from a seller who has good feedback so I'm just keeping fingers crossed. I'm also waiting on one DVD from Play.com...that's frustrating as all the items I ordered were dispatched on the 12th and everything else has arrived. But they don't do anything until you get 21 days so I'm stuck on that one!
  • My last delivery came this afternoon, from Amazon. It was estimated to arrive on the 17th but came today via Royal Mail so not too bad at all. I was getting a bit concerned after reading about Amazon deliveries on MSE but all was fine in the end (everything else came on time although all that was before any snow arrived).
