Chose to switch to EDF about 3 weeks ago....
So far, nothing in the post, no email from them, no response to any emails, cant get through on the phone.
Not a great start. If I'd known it was this much hassle I wouldnt have bothered.

Best to check your bank direct debits, Paul. If in place there will be an account number.
Then ring Freephone 0800 096 9000.
My welcome pack took three weeks, preceded by an email, which initially went into a spam folder.0 -
Similar situation with me, I had to signup again as they found no trace of my application the first time round. I found it easier to contact them via the web chat facility, there they could see my application going through the second time I signed up. Received paperwork a few days later.0

How is this hassle? Just chill a bit and wait until they make contact I expect they're quite busy. Surely you have better things to do right?0 -
It does take a little while. They are probably inundated with applications at the moment as well as they are the only company who have not put their prices up this winter.0

Finally got a letter from them today dated Dec 6th.....
Strangely my gas is moving over on 6th Jan and electricity on 29th dec. Weird since they were both supplied by EON at the moment - why does it take longer for gas to move over?0 -
Also, EON have told me that both are moving over on 30th Dec and that I need to read the meter on that day. Confused now.
I rememeber now why I rarely bother changing suppliers. Had this hassle last time.0 -

Oh dear Paul,
Is it all a bit too much.
There are a number of threads about EDF,some on the first page of this forum and others not so long ago.
If they aren't any help, it may be not be possible to help you, as your tolerance appears to be pretty short.0 -
If the accounts are not up and running , how do we input the start meter readings. ?0
