    Evening everyone

Looks like snow is thawing slightly here. Took doggie out today & ds2 with his sledge, we were out over 2 hours. Dog was worn out but not ds2! He seems more hyper mode the closer it gets to Christmas. Still not long to go. We are meant to be going to my mums for Christmas, have decided to drive Christmas morning rather than Christmas eve, am hoping the roads will be quieter, that's if the roads and motorways are ok. I will not take any risks if there is any mention of motorways not being clear we will not go.

Found out today that my db gf dad has got secondary cancer and the prognosis is not good at all. He only started feeling unwell about 6 weeks ago.

Os today, dw on & emptied, floors swept and mopped, kitchen cleaned. Stairs hoovered. Dinner tonight was crusty rolls with leftover roast beef, onion, Stilton and a side salad. Bathroom has been cleaned too.

Still need to wrap a couple of pressies and need to finish 1 scarf and start my last one.

Jackieo - glad you enjoyed Liverpool, but shame that the match was cancelled. Will you be able to go when it's rearranged?
    Polly - thinking of you
beemuzed - hope your ds is ok, thinking of you.
Miolere - Thinking of you and your dsIs & bil.
Molly - hope you get home for Christmas.
Npm - hope you are all ok, it must be so hard.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hope those not feeling well are better for Christmas. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Kerry is tussling with Thunder (male cat) and Sile is looking on in disdain, she just tolerates Kerry and cannot understand why her brother is so fond!

No TV to-night as snow ( we have had 15cm since lunchtime and still going) is hitting the satellite dish and knocking out the signal...wonderful! Have been out several times to fill basins and buckets with snow to melt so that we can flush loos....back to the 30s at this stage...not fair.

Not sure if DS2 will make it from London for Christmas, or indeed DS1, DD1, DDIL or DGD2 from Cork, is all motorway for them and should be clear or at least gritted to lessen skids....feeling quite weepy about the whole thing, not sure if friend and daughter will make it from Midlands either, she is a rather nervous driver, so not sure what to advise her to do. Spoke to SIL this evening and she is doubtful that her DD will make it from Munich tomorrow night....so we may all fit around one very small table the way things are going!

Think that I will go to bed with my book as I am just getting more and more down when I look out at the snow....can somebody remind me why I used to like it??

Keep warm, stay safe, sleep well
