That was ALL i got, nothing else. The tape had been sliced open on the box and taped up again with thin tape. The addtion of the Sainsbury's wine carrier inside the box shows that it is obvious someone has helped themselves to the contents then taped the box back up again.
There was no sign of the gift box the other choccies the receipt, nothing.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Thorntons are just going lower and lower in my estimations. Will certainly never use them again. It's such a shame.0

hmmm.... just got confirmation email of my order earlier today, then a few minutes later this email arrived....
good deal or very fishy?0 -
Yup, same e-mail. Two £50 hampers for the £28-odd I'll have paid after Quidco.
Have to say, I think this is brilliant - all credit to Thorntons for honouring the orders.0 -
Exact same email here.
The contents of those hampers look good value for what we paid but I'm quite disappointed there is nothing festive in them. I actually wanted the chocolate santas and reindeers etc in the original hamper (although not broken like the one in the pic above).
I thought they would have to substitute with products to the same value. However the Winter Wonderland Hamper had an original price of £120 but the Chocoholic ones are only £50 each.0 -
I've received the same e-mail. However, as I thought it was unlikely that I would get £120 worth of chocolate for £30, I'm not too disappointed to get £100 worth
And I actually think the contents are better.
Still showing as delivery for tomorrow.¿Alguien ha visto a mi nave espacial?
Biting is excellent. It's like kissing, only there's a winner.0 -

Same for me too...I did order at 5.30am this morning so doubt if they were OOS then...however the 2 hampers seem to have more 'stuff' in that I like...so a happy bunny here:T0

The alternative hamper seems to have more items which are not xmas-related, so you could always give them away as gifts if the use-by dates are ok.
I haven't had the email yet - personally I would prefer the option to cancel as I have a huge capacity to eat chocolate and really don't want to polish it all off myself in the next couple of weeks! Since ordering I have also casually mentioned to OH 'Would you buy £100 pounds worth of chocolate for £30 if you were given the chance?' - he said 'But I don't want £100 pounds worth of chocolate' and looked at me as if I was mad!0 -
I've not had the email yet, and I ordered early this morning, but for delivery Xmas eve. Its still showing in my account as the Winter Wonderland hamper ordered.
I'd actually be happier with the replacement chocoholics hampers even though it is supposedly £100 rather than £120 worth, since I don't think it will arrive before Xmas, I think that these will be better for after Xmas!
Here's hoping!0
