I give Asda thumbs up too! booked my slot for delivery today between 8-10am it was delivered at 9am I had amended my order anout 5-6 times as i would remember things i'd forgotten to order or if id been out and bought the items elsewhere i would take them off my asda order with no problems at all.
Delivery came with all products i'd ordered and amended!! only thing that wasn't available was a Yule log, which i'm sure the waistline can do without!! Merry Christmas!0 -
I am still waiting for my Asda delivery which was booked for between 1pm and 3pm today. Was told I would get the delivery this evening. Imagine what is happening to those with later delivery slots!!!0

My shopping which was booked for delivery between 1 pm and 3 pm today arrived just now at 9.30 pm without the chilled foods. I have also been holding on for customer services. The 0844 number was engaged so had to get alternative number. Dont forget the saynoto0870.com website to get alternative number to save a high phone bill. Dredful customer service.0 -
no chilled goods??
i asked on the phone if i will get some form of refund and she said she could give me a free delivery voucher to use next time - ha ha ha - i told her i go for the cheapest one anyway at £3, and to be waiting for the delivery for so long and only get £3 off? she was useless, could barely understand her0 -
No no chilled. I mentioned it to the driver, he brought me a bag of someone else's chilled order which obviously I told him was not mind. He says he always gets the blame and it is the store's fault. I have given up holding on the phone. I emailed Asda but the email was returned as their email box is full-up! I can't even blame the weather as it has all thawed here in London. Just basic bad customer service by Asda. I hope I will be able to phone them tomorrow. Hope you get your shopping ok. I guess this will teach everyone a lesson to try to get foodstuffs a couple of days before their last delivery date. We live and learn!0

Update - re my above post. Yesterday was the last delivery date before Xmas, so they won't be delivering my chilled items that were missing. They are refunding the cost. Compensation that I want will be dealt with after Xmas - for being six hours late with delivery and for all the chilled items missing. Also for frustration of holding on the phone for ages last night to complain. Apparently I was one of the lucky ones. Customer Services said some people did not get their scheduled deliveries at all yesterday.
So the moral is:
When we see Xmas stuff in the shops in September and complain it is too early, we should take the opportunity to buy as much as possible that we will need as early as possible. Milk and bread freeze so that is a tip. Frozen and non-perishables can be bought in November in case of bad weather and it is basically chilled and fresh fruit and fresh veg that need to be bought closer to Xmas, and with the unreliability of supermarket delivery as I and others have experienced, those items could be purchased a couple of days before the last delivery date in order to sort it all so everything is at home and ready. If chilled stuff is kept cold it doesn't matter too much if it is not delivered on the very last delivery date.
Other moral is - use any supermarket other than the one that has let you down!
Have a great Xmas everyone.0
