Just to update that I have just made a payment of £20 to the catalogue, minimum payment was £5 - only got £79 left on this account, plus whatever interest is added on the next payment - I am really hoping to get rid of this by the end of the month xxx

    Xmas Saver!

    Happy New Year Everyone :)

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your thread mum2one, I have only posted this past couple of days but I love it already! I have made a list of all the special events taking place in 2011 including birthdays, christenings, valentines day, mothers and fathers day and weddings! I have also made my christmas list for next year and I am pleased to say I have 7 christmas presents already!

I have joined the £365 in 365 days challenge, which I will start today :)

Today we plan on clearing out our spare room in the first stage of operation nursery so I will see what ebay treasures I find along the way as part of the make £50 in Jan challenge on mum2ones sister thread (sorry i cant remember the full title!)

I am also going to go into town at some point and stock up on birthday cards etc and put them in my birthday book so there is no last minute dashes for cards and wrapping paper etc as the year goes on!

I've also put my first £10 into my Christmas Savings account!!

I have a very strong feeling that 2011 is going to be goooooddd!! xxx

Just glad u didn't mind me being cheeky, how did the clear out go, sounds daft but when u see the cot in there makes it all real.
Bless him my parents did DDs room as a surprise for me, I'd booked to go to Tunisia b4 I found out I was expecting, so there was 27weeks gone, waddling on crutches, (I'd only been given 2 days b4), middle of July, 40C heat on a all inclusive holiday. The barman use to laugh when I asked for a coke. Weird at my scan they said it was a girl, but I had it my I was expecting a boy, so made them paint the room pale blue...... got painted pale pink b4 she moved in to it. (blamed it on the hormones!!) x

Hope the shopping trip went ok, and u got stocked up with everything
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

ooo no I didn't think you were cheeky at all :)

So the year has got off to abit of a rocky start, mainly due to my lack of organisational skills and I have received an overdue bill from British Gas! I am going to pay this in full on Friday as we are then switching providers (i think!) as OH has had a quote for cheaper gas and electric!

ooo Im a little annoyed but know there is nothing that I can do to change it now, and now I have my calender / diary / and bills folder I hope that these incidents will be a thing of the past!!

Does anyone have any advice on improving credit rating? I know the main aim is to not miss payments and reduce etc but wondered if there was anything else I could do? do over payments or settling things early help at all? I am so worried my credit rating is horrendous!

    Thanks xx

arrggghh im so stressed! I paid our credit card on 31st December which was the payment due date, but for some reason the money didn't leave my bank account until 1st Jan, so its gone down as a late payment and I have been charged £12 late payment fee!! :(

Hi there muffin86! Just read your diary with a smile!

Have just started my own diary and it is nice to have a little ramble on about your own things, I really think it makes you feel more organised.

I don't think my OH has had his LBM either, he quite likes me organising things and likes the idea of being debt free but also wants a new TV!

Did you manage to sort your mortgage payment? Sounds like you're getting on track! Good luck. xx

    Thanks Loumac :)

I always ramble on here, sometimes I dont think anyone reads it but it makes me feel better, I did the best I could but everythings at abit of a standstill until I get paid on the 10th (im a student and thats when I get my student finance) and then I have to work out my budgets per month.

Sometimes it just feels like Im being held back though, or that im taking 2 steps forward 1 step back, like the credit card for example, which I actually made an over payment on and felt really good about but then discovered it didnt come out in time!!

I will pop over to your diary :) xxx

Grrrr... that's so frustrating! :( Is there any way you could argue and get the charge back?
