Yes - As soon as possible. OTOH, the retention period is 30 days for unquestioned footage.

The OP should "question" or otherwise register an interest in any footage concerning the vehicle and if it does turn out that it has been wiped "in error" or suffered a "technical problem," that in itself could form the basis of a complaint to the information commissioner.

Thank you to everyone who has tried to help me here but I seem to have had my mind on other things over the past couple of days and forgotten to come back to this thread and can't believe what has been going on!

Just a brief update: The letter has been signed for so we will wait and see on that front.

Now to the point of me caring and helping my daughter! I will never stop caring and helping my daughter! And any mother (yes, I'm not a man!) who stops caring and helping their children don't deserve them! The day I started this thread my daughter was actually at work and we were in contact by text & phone to try and sort this mess out.

To the person who thought my daughter WAS ACTUALLY AT THE AIRPORT, maybe your children drive 4 hours south and then 4 hours north for no reason on a day they should have been at work but mine didn't. She works at the same secondary school as her dad and that is where she was, with her Smart Car on the day in question. The headteacher can vouch for that!

I will come back and ask for more help should I need to but until then I'd rather you all not bicker amongst yourselves. Thank you.
