Morning all
Now light and foggy, no more snow just very cold and very very icy everywhere.
Still feeling low but trying to work my way through this, just tackling one day at a time.
Boys going to grandparents today and staying until Wednesday, so will have opportunity to get any jobs done I need to. Think I will try to get clothes organised for going away so I don't have to panic at last minute when we need to be ready to go away, have had several changes of feelings about going, one day I really want to go then the next I don't - all part of how I'm feeling at the moment, think I need to try and keep myself busy, taking one day at a time - that's my theory anyway. We didn't do much over the weekend, yesterday we had roast lamb, very nice it was too, and quite a bit leftover so that's tea sorted for tomorrow night. Just lazed in front of tv and did nothing much, maybe that's some of my problem at the moment perhaps I need to have a few things to do each day. Have decided that I must start to exercise in the New Year, I did last night dig out the exercise DVD I bought earlier in the year, hasn't even been out of the box, so thing that would be a good start, will be able to do it 3+ times a week once kids go back to school. Somehow lost another 1lb last week, think some of that was due to stress as hadn't been eating particularly well, but want to carry on with losing a little more.
Need to go and get ready for work.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Freezing and foggy today in Lincolnshire, and a really hard frost covering everything.
I'm off to work in a while, with my slow cooker bolognaise left overs for lunch, and some homemade soup with reduced priced vegs.
DH is shattered after his first week as a delivery driver for Mr S, so expect he'll be in bed most of the day, especially as he has a heavy cold too.
Got some whoopsied chicken breasts for tea tonight so plan to have those with some potatoes. Will probably stuff the breasts with philli (well basics soft cheese) and cook.
Hae a good day.0 -
Morning All,
No more snow overnight for us, but we've got about four or five inches at the moment, I reckon. The boys are at school still - until Thursday - so OH is just about to take them out.
Plan for the day is to sleep, my cold is really getting the better of me, so I think I'll try and rest until lunchtime, and then get up and tackle the million and one things which are to be done. Time to make a list I think! Its my nephew's 11th birthday today and we should be going there after school, but he wasn't very well yesterday so I'll call my sis in a few minutes and check on him and wish him a Happy Birthday
Have good days all, special hugs for nmlc and esmf and NPM and Noah!
Hugs spoons and hi5's all round.

Morning all,
Been up a while, and just pottering around, have got a wash on, and another to do, will be on the airer today.
No more snow overnight, but its just started again really heavily, my sister is in spain at the moment, and we are worried about ther flight back tomorrow, they fly into Heathrow, which I believe is shut, I have told her she has to get back, as I can't cope with my mother on my own over xmas:rotfl:
OH and I went out for a tree yesterday garden centre wanted £80 for a decent size one,, so we bought a massive one from the side of the road for £15 :T, it smells beautiful, will get it up tonight, OH is bringing a stand home, which has been given to us by his work mate.
Going to have a day at home today, will start the xmas clean, will give 2 rooms a good going over, dd can do her room, which loots like a bomb has hit.
Will take the dogs out for a walk, then have an afternoon of films with dd.
Spag bol for dinner tonight, still trying to empty the freezer as much as possible, sainsbugs are delivering (thats assuming they can get here) will nip out later in the week for fresh cream etc.
nmlc, big hugs to you xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all - got the luxury of working from home today as I'm waiting for a delivery. Don't expect it to turn up given the weather, and frustratingly we don't know what it is! We usually get all our parcels sent to work so no idea what's going to turn up!
Anyway, not having to travel means I've gotten an extra load of washing on - our washing machine lives in an outhouse and the pipes had frozen over the weekend, so we had to pop a portable heater in there to get things moving. MrS declared it an emergency as he'd run out of clean pants:rotfl:
Birds fed - I nearly got knocked down in the rush when I put out their food and I'm now sat on the sofa with the laptop and a coffee, ready to do some work.
Lunch will be fridge pickings and dinner will be bubble and squeak with poached eggs, with some leftover red cabbage. Although the spuds might have to be supplemented with a sweet potato so dinner will be rather colourful:D0 -
The last few months madness and upheavals finally caught up with me yesterday - I ended up bursting into tears
Not because of the carol service, BTW
I spent the afternoon curled up on the sofa, watching tv. Iron Man 2 is quite good
Have a hug tru and yes Iron Man 2 is quite good although Mickey Rourke makes me feel sick with his grubby fingernailsRobert Downey Jnr definately makes up for it though
Went to the traditional carol service at our local church. The heating was broken so it was very traditional. Pre Central heating traditional. Nice though.

Still full of snot and cold. Feel little bit better but DD had us up for 2 hours last night so feel desperately tired
Snow hasn't thawed but sadly it rubbish for making snowmenBloomin' freezin', some parts recorded -18 to -19 overnight :eek:
Plans for today are to make some cinnamon buns and other biccies for Xmas. Going to sit and make pasta wreaths with the kids.
Tea tonight should be turkey meatballs, meat is out defrosted but whether I can be bothered later to mince it is another matter
hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not. Stay safe and warm everybody.

well i headed out to work despite feeling lousy and my car engine was frozen solid and wouldnt start! I considered getting the train but it was reading -5 out and I just thought s0d it and stayed home. Glad i did too as I've started with a terrible headache (which the kids have had for days as part of this latest round of germs). Will make some lentil soup for lunch I think as I feel a bit shivery and will chop up the peppers and onions for fajitas for dinner or might throw some stuff in the slow cooker for a saugage casserole.
Not sure i've the energy for much else to be honest. xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning all
It's snowing a lot here! It started off just a little bit this morning so I walked into work, but it's a lot heavier now and it's sticking. I've sent the few work kids who had turned up home. 2 have bus journeys and didn't want them getting stuck, the others can walk so they hung round here for a bit watching a DVD! I've just shooed them out, why they don't want to play in the snow is a tad confusing :rotfl:.
We are holding job interviews here today so I've had to ring the candidates to check whether they can make it. Some have said they will let us know later which is understandable. I wouldn't fancy driving in this weather!
My colleague made it in this morning but has gone home now as she lives 45 mins away and didn't want to get stuck. She very kindly rung me this morning when she was in Morrisons and got me some milk and cold&flu tablets so I don't need to go to shops. :A
I'm going to stay in work for a bit longer, even though I feel rotten. It's quiet here and, if I'm honest I want to take a peek at the people being interviewed! Plus I was getting a bit cabin fever-ish after being stuck at home ill all weekend. I've got some of my HM spicy carrot&lentil soup with me so won't starve in work!
I've rung LA about my broken DW and she said she will send the handyman round as soon as possible. I'm hoping it will be fixed before Xmas as I hate washing up, and have 3 people coming for xmas dinner!
Not much OS will happen. Yesterdays laundry needs putting away. Dinner will probably be veggie fajitas, but that's all in the freezer so easy meal.
Have a good day all, stay safe and warm
