    Hi There,
I have came across an easy method of gaining free credit to your o2 pay as you go handset. In order to use this method you must be an o2 pay as you go customer and be in posession of a brand new o2 pay as you go sim card.
Step 1: Call 5450 free from your original o2 sim card, press 1 to confirm you wish to upgrade from the phone you are calling from. Listen to the information and eventually you will be told how much calltime credit you are entitled to, this will depend on how much you have topped up since you have been connected with o2 - you can claim a maximum of £200. You will receive a confirmation number at the end of the call which you must make a note of.
Step 2: Call 5450 free from the new o2 sim card you have, press 2 to confirm this is the phone you are upgrading to. You will then be asked to enter the confirmation number you were given on your first call and to confirm your original mobile number. Upon doing this, you will then be told your claim has been accepted. You will be asked to leave your name and details after the prompts. After doing so, you will then be told that your upgrade calltime reward has been successful and the credit will be applied to your original sim card after 14 days. The new sim card will be disconnected.
Basically, you are fooling o2 into beleiving you have upgraded your phone. All you are doing is upgrading but only to a new sim card, not a new phone. The new sim card is the one thats disconnected, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about. You do not speak to anyone on the phone - everything is automated. I have tried this and have been rewarded with £33 credit on my phone. My friends have also been successful using this method so I would advise you to try it as soon as you can. If you have any problems please don't hesitate to ask but everything is straight forward.
