  • Quick update on Lou, she got home this afternoon, not as bad as it looked, and she's to take lots of rest and relax. :)

  • Went to Sainsbury's this afternoon and the robin is still there, singing in the fruit and veg aisles.

Got some great meat bargains and fruit so that's the fridge full for a few days.

Made a bolognese mince sauce in the slow cooker for tea, and my DS3 has made soup from reduced veg we got last week. (30p per veg pack). He's also freezing some plums we got (20p per punnet) and bananas at 10p a kilo.

    Hello everybody,

Just a slight skim of snow here, but roads are not pleasant as very cold....water has gone again upstairs so am going to have to wash my hair in the sink so that I won't look like a complete monster to-morrow...need to go to beauticians, my favourite charity shop as I have won a prize in the Christmas raffle, knitting group if its on and to collect DGS2 from school....all in same direction so not too bad...we are to have more snow on Tuesday oh joy!

Tree finally up today but not decorated, OH will put lights on to-morrow while I am out and DGS will do decorations when we get home. Need to ice Christmas cake too and finish the present wrapping...think I need a few stocking fillers and know that I haven't yet got the chocolate oranges that are part of the stocking since they were all small children.

Roast chicken broccoli for dinner to-night, did chicken this morning and gave half to DD3 who was here doing some of my housework as agreed since she has been unemployed....offered her money but she prefers dinners to save her cooking them....fine with me, although I think that I am a bit in arrears already, will make her some spag bol sauce to-morrow. Think that we are going to have spaghetti quite often for a while as I found that I have about 10 packets....no idea why I didn't realise that before now.

Hugs to all who have been or are not well, stay warm and safe.

    evening!

JackieG - thanks for the updates on Lou!

NPM - (((Hugs))) sorry to hear Noah is struggling with Christmas x x

Just had a visit rrom my friend, only see her about twice a year now since she moved away - she's back for a couple of days and all us Tap ladies are off out for a Christmas meal tomorrow - 3 courses and a disco. Was nice to catch up - we brought our children up together and have been through a lot.

DS1 has now moved back in - hope he manages to sort a job out locally that will fit in with his radio show. As usual he's skint so I'm getting him a small present to give his Nan. My present is to have him back home so I can mother him for a bit:D

Off to bed soon as am on an early shift tomorrow.

    take care all x
