 so cold!!
Yesterday's snow has turned to several inches thick ice and I am not looking forward to venturing out in it! Today is my last day at work, I got roped in last minute and wouldn't mind the double pay
Then me and OH(whether he likes it or not) can give the flat a super clean before we head home, the minute this snow thaws i'm off back to brum!
*hugs* nmlc things will seem easier when christmas is out the way, it's stressful!
I'm off to make a yummy souffle omelette for breakfast, hope all the sickly(inc myself and half of the world!) feel better soon, at least so there's no sneezing on the turkey.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Morning
No more snow for us, but lots still here. A very cold and frosty night. WM still on catching up but drying nicely due to having heating on. I managed to get some wrapping done secretly last night, whilst the boys played on the new wii game, it was going to be a Christmas Eve treat but needs must!
I updated my "things to do before hospital on Tuesday list" and I might just get them completed. Presents will hopefully be sorted today. Also hoping to go food shopping and some cleaning.
Have a lovely day whatever your plans.

Morning folks- bbbrrrr better jump up and down to keep warm :j. Woke up to quite a bit of snow here and it hasn't stopped. will have to wrap up and take dogs out. Hope all those who have to drive today are wrapped up and stay safe.
We went out for a couple of drinks yesterday after DH buying my Christmas present;) then went on to the German Market which was really packed with happy people. Had some mulled wine and headed home for the end of Strictly, which was good.
Present wrapping today and also some soup making later (JackieG - you have put me in the mood for some- hope yours does the trick and kills all known germs still lurking!).
Need to sort out some washing and might also change the bed. have to iron a fresh set of bedding though and that is the hold up!
Ok, dogs peering into my face so off out in this blizzard.Think I will look like Nanook of the North.
Hope JackieO gets home safely today.

Morning all,
No fresh snow here, but the roads look terrible, all the snow has frozen, our road in particular looks like an ice rink.
Have fed and watered the birds this morning, will take the dogs out for a walk later on, dd and I took them over the field yesterday and sisters dog was like a spring lamb, jumping and playing in the snow, not bad for an 11 / 12 year old.
Got one tree up yesterday, I think OH and I are going to price up a real one today for the conservatory, was pleased to see yesterday that
I have enough decorations for it without having to buy any, just need some lights, which homebase have a 1/2 price sale on at the moment.
Dinner today is roast lamb roasties and veg will do it at tea time, dd is off out with her dad for the day, I have a couple of presents to wrap up, and dd and I will go and get the fresh stuff on tuesday and then we are done :j, will have a baking day, maybe on Thursday.
Ok better get on, have good days all and stay safe.
JackieO so sorry the game was cancelled, hope you manage to have a good time xx
Hope all the snootys get better soon.0 -
Just a wee update about Lou, I have just heard from Alan and she is in hospital, but should get back home later today. She was coughing up blood, and they had her on oxygen but she's back off it already. What a fright. Hugs Loulou. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Hi all
The dealers car has moved so that's good, but the local bus service has been suspended, I'm so glad school has finished otherwise I'd have to battle through it all to get there!
I'm gradually getting through my list of jobs, I don't have to go out til Tuesday when I have to meet with the social worker about the current foster children, what joy.
Hugs Hester
